fic, Lost: The Last Two Hours (Jack/Sayid), NC17, for jaydblu
Title: The Last Two Hours
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Jack/Sayid
Words: 1069
Spoilers: heavy for 5x15, Follow The Leader.
Summary: Jack doesn’t really know why he’s doing this and if he isn’t getting everything wrong, but hell, it’s the last two hours of their lives. Right?
Disclaimer: not mine, this'd happen in the finale.
A/N: For jaydblu who asked relief on the infamous alphabet meme. Also, I wanted to write Jack/Sayid after last episode so I jumped on it.

There’s something relieving about Sayid’s mere presence; Jack can’t exactly put it into words but it feels good to have him on his side even with everything that passed in between. Sayid was someone he could count on in the beginning, maybe the first one really, and he’s the one he has to count on in the end; it makes sense after all, or maybe it’s just a coincidence, but Jack is past caring. He really is and maybe it has something to do with the fact that Sayid might be what he is and might have done what he has done, but he still looks as reliave as he was once, he has Jack’s back as he had once, he will stick as he sticked once, and if it’s for suicidal reasons, then so be it. It’s not like this isn’t suicidal for him, too.

Also, he thinks that since Sayid does indeed know something about bombs, or at least more than the nothing Jack knows, it’s definitely a good reason to feel relieved. Physics was never Jack’s thing.

Their skin still drips wet as they move around the bomb. Richard and Eloise are gone, waiting for them on the other way out; Jack reads Daniel’s instructions as Sayid actually puts them into practice. Yeah, it’s good that at least someone knows where to put his hands.

“How much time has passed?” he asks as he finishes reading the first part of the instructions (the rest is for when they actually move it).

“I believe about twenty minutes,” Sayid answers after checking his watch, and Jack is somewhat surprised that he still has it.

“Alright. We have... another two hours. Is that secured?”

“If you fear that it will blow now, I can assure you it will not.”

“Good. Richard... said we should move that way, right? To get out.”

“I think so. Didn’t he leave you that map?”

“Yeah,” Jack says taking out of his pocket a crumpled piece of paper, “they’ll be waiting outside.”

“Then we should leave. No sense in wasting time.”

“No, you’re right. But... do you think we have a second?” Jack asks, suddenly realizing there’s something he must do before they can’t go back anymore.

“I might spare you one. Why?”

Jack puts the journal away and comes closer; he wants at least this to be done properly.

“I just... if this doesn’t work, we die. And if it does, we never met.”

“I am not changing idea, if...”

“Sayid. No, it’s not about changing idea. I’m not either. I just wanted to say thinks. For everything. And I’m sorry. And I’m glad we met each other, at least.”

Sayid smiles just slightly as he shakes Jack’s outstretched hand.

“I would guess I am, too. I just wish it was in... other circumstances.”

“Yeah. Yeah, well, I do, too. Can’t have everything, I guess.”

Jack finds himself strangely reluctant to let that hand go, though; it’s not that he doesn’t want to get this done and see the end of it, but probably he just wants to drag it out. And blame him, after all they'll die when an atomic bomb blows up two hours from now, and if they won't then it'll all be different. He lets Sayid’s hand go in the end though, and he’s surprised when Sayid’s fingers linger on his wrist, taking it gently betwen them.

“Jack?”

“Yes?”

“Do you believe we have some more time to spare?”

“I... guess so. Fifteen minutes? Would it do it?”

“Yes. Yes... it would.”

There’s silence, then; Sayid looks down at the ground and then back up at Jack. For a second, Jack sees despair drowned in his eyes and then it’s gone, but it’s easy to step closer and draw an arm around Sayid’s waist, easy to lean down and kiss him lightly. Jack doesn’t really know why he’s doing this and if he isn’t getting everything wrong, but hell, it’s the last two hours of their lives. Right?

He doesn’t know if he read things right until Sayid’s mouth opens under his; Jack’s hand undoes the ponytail as he’s pressed against the wall of the cave opposite the bomb. Sayid kisses him roughly, like he needs this and can’t have enough (and maybe, Jack thinks for a second, like he can’t believe I want to), and then his hands are at the front of his ridiculous jumpsuit and Jack is thankful that at least one can open it on the front. Not that it isn’t a nuisance anyway, not when he has to end up half naked while Sayid doesn’t really need it, but who cares. Sayid’s hands are fast in getting rid of the blasted thing and Jack shivers, since it was still wet and he’s wet and the air of the cave is chilly. He pushes back up against Sayid, whose clothes are dripping but whose skin is warmer, doesn’t lose time with taking the tank top off but just brings Sayid’s trousers down and Sayid’s mouth is biting his neck and thrusts against Jack’s hand as Jack’s fingers wrap around his cock and starts giving short, fast jerks. He feels his own getting harder and just ignores it and keeps on going until Sayid grinds against him and comes with a strangled moan that gets lost in Jack’s lips as Jack bends down to kiss him again. There’s heavy breathing for a couple of second before Sayid falls on his knees and his hands are on Jack’s hips and Jack has to grip Sayid’s hair, which is soft and curly and just the perfect length to hang on to as Sayid’s mouth takes him in. Jack can’t help it and he thrusts deeper when Sayid doesn’t complain and takes it; he comes shortly after and doesn’t even wonder why Sayid did swallow it all.

He falls against the wall as Sayid still kneels in front of him, his lips sticky, his hair flying wild, his tank top half off; Jack tries to regain breath for a few seconds before realizing he’s shivering. Then he half crawls on the floor of the cave and retrieves his wet jumpsuit, wincing as he puts it on. Sayid ties his hair back up and looks at his watch.

“How long has it been?” Jack asks.

“Thirteen minutes, I believe. Or close to it.”

“Alright. Then, ready to go?”

“Yes, I am.”

“Good. Hey, care to help me up?”

Jack extends his hand and Sayid nods as he takes it and pulls him up.

End.

Okay, that was hotter than I dared to hope with that prompt. And really, if they only have a short amount of time left together, they should. They really should. Loved it. :)

Yay, I'm really happy that you liked it! I mean, they give me canon to base it on, I need to run with it. And yeah, they so should. -nod- Thanks so much!

Yeah, it’s good that at least someone knows where to put his hands.

Um, yes, Sayid is so good at many things, which you proved as the story progressed!

OH, Sayid and his ponytail! Hair kink, oh my. Love. I actually had to lock the episode on my DVR so I can go back and watch Sayid put his hair up. Like. We get a wet Sayid and then we get his HAIR. Yeah, I'm a little obsessed lol. Love this! :D
