this entry is just an excuse.
Or, I changed my layout for the first time in like six months (or changed it so that it isn't a variation on the same theme) and I wanted to post something, and there are memes around so why the heck not.

Icon meme! From crickets and a couple others.

* I'd just like to state that the favorite shippy icon is both Dean/Cas and Roland/Eddie, so it's worth for two ships. ;)

How many icons do you have total? 155

How many can you have? 165

If you could buy space for more, would you? ... I already have enough, don't tempt me. XD

Do your icons make a statement about you? ... yes. Especially that I like pink and Springsteen and Boone and Misha and Dean/Castiel.

What fandom do you have the most icons out of? either Lost or SPN, I didn't stop to count.

The second most? Whichever wasn't the one I have the most icons of. If you want a third, probably the vampire porn, but in comparison to the other two it's tiny.

What ship do you have the most icons out of? hahaha Dean/Castiel. Jack/Boone follows closely.

Break down your icons for us. mostly fandom, some movies, enough text, a lot of pink, too many Springsteen quotes.

How do you categorize your icons? fandom --> character/ship, when I have more than one icon for said fandom. If not I'll just put a name. Same for people, even though the Springsteen lyrics are under bruce springsteen.

Are your icons mostly made by other users? half by me and half by other people I think.

Animated icons are... I like them but I don't use many.

I tag: whoever wants to!

Aaaand then, book meme from pnr: In this blog post, Ebert links to a cloud of book titles first assembled in an article in The Guardian that shows the most-mentioned titles culled from a variety of book polls and reading lists. A sort of "consensus" reading list, if you will.

Also uhm maybe last day's entry ended up half-lost also because it was like Sunday, but just in case: whoever was that had volunteered to beta that Jimmy Novak apocalyptic fic like ages ago and whose name I forgot (sorry! I can't remember half of what happened just before I graduated) would be up for doing it now? Or anyone else really? Because I still haven't sent it over as my artist and I agreed on having it betaed before but I'm getting dangerously close to two weeks before the deadline. :( I can't even make you cookies because I suck, but if you need details check the post before this one. :) Thanks in advance?

Also next round I'll have the pictures from that meme as well. Now I'll see to accomplish something other than memes, hopefully.

Thanks! I really liked how neat the layout was. And ha, showing off pretty icons is always a good thing, y/y?

Wow, I thought I was in the wrong place for a second there. I like the new look, though! I'll have to steal some of those memes, too. :)

Still looking for a beta?

the female ghost of tom joad: ILUjanie_tangerine on March 21st, 2011 04:54 pm (UTC)
I've practically spent one year with the same layout so I wanted a change. ;) Glad you like it!

And yeeeaaah, still totally looking for one! If you don't have issues with one person dying then you'd probably kind of save my beta-ing life here. ;)
cassiopeia7: Calvin&Hobbes: hugscassiopeia7 on March 21st, 2011 05:00 pm (UTC)
Why, then, you have a beta! I've got no issues with dying, so we're okay there. What's the word count and when do you need it back? :)

ETA: I just e-mailed you. *is excited*

My favorites are your best text, and best-non-fandom. Your best text is like the only keep calm and carry on riff that I find remotely funny. All the other ones bug me. (Random pet peeve much?)

I don't even wanna think about how many of those books I have NOT read. Haha.

I know? I'm not much of a fan of the keep calm icons either but that one is hilarious. XD and the psycho fanfic was a touch of genius, I had to have it. ;)

Ooh, the new layout is pretty! :)

I love your "best colored" icon. That scene is so peaceful.

Thanks! :D

And it's soooo true. But I chose that specifically because I iconed that scene myself and I know that getting a coloring like that out of that cap means that you're skilled, lol. It's such a lovely scene though. (No wonder that it's my favorite SPN episode. *cough*)

Wheee, I love the new layout! ♥

Definitely stealing the icon meme, and maybe the book meme but I feel like it will embarass me. ;) lol. Though i have read Atonement and I highly recommend it!

Thaaank you! ♥ I love that it's so neat. ;)

And ha, saw it! And fff I know people who have read just Emma in that list, and that's because we had to in school, so you can't possibly do worse than that. XD and I'll read McEwan one day. It's just that when I was eight my mom gave me this book of his supposedly for children, there was this story when the boy bodyswitched with his sister's creepy broken doll and the doll like took off her own arms while in his body and that turned me off the guy for ages. I'll get over the trauma though. ;)

LOL OH GOD, Atonement is nothing like that book you described. Tis strictly romance, tragedy and... I guess, character study. The only creepiness in the whole thing comes from a sketchy pedophile kind of guy, but he's not in it very much. Oh jeez, just the description of that book you just mentioned traumatized me...! o_o (lol.)
