meme, lost, fic procrastination & all
Uhm, I forgot how it is when you find yourself with 3/4 of fic done and no absolute idea of how you should go on without making things confusing/messing up with canon/getting caught up in a web of parallel worlds-fate issues and still making the whole thing believable. Okay, it was a messed up idea from the beginning but it fit the prompt and I thought I knew where I was heading to, except I didn't. Then the thing took a life of its own up to that point and now I don't know what to do with it or what point it should prove. Because I still like the idea and I want to wrap the thing up, plus the whole part before isn't too bad. Point is, I don't find a reasonable way to solve the plot. Argh. Jack would say, I've been caught in a net. Thankfully with two very pretty people, but a net nonetheless.

/ends rambling

Anyway. To make not-so-intelligent conversation, I must say the promo pics for Episode #2 are something hot. And I didn't understand that one of the new freighter people was the protagonist of 'Million Dollar Hotel' (which I totally loved while everyone thought was crap. Why? O_O). And of course he's called like a Stephen King character *smacks Darlton*, but anyway. I care about the old people but alas, a known face is always better than a not-known face. And Sayid. *dies*

When is Jan. 31st? *sighs*

Though now I'd really want to make this entry less useless. Guess memes are not going to make it much more useful, but however, I guess it's not the right day to make intelligent entries ;)

1. leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2. I will respond; I'll ask you about five questions +/-
3. you'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4. you'll include this explanation.
5. you'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed and the whole process outlives us all.
I've done this like ten times last month because I find it interesting but if you don't want to do it in the journal you can also answer me here in comments, or if you don't want to do it at all no problem.

So, agt_bush's questions.

1. your stuck on a island in the middle of nowhere, what 1 online friend would you want to have with you?

Guess lasamy. Hell, I wouldn't be here in the first place if she didn't convince me XD

2. What would you say to Ian Somerhalder if you ever got to meet him?

First or after telling him that he should fire his agent and pleading him to bring me to the nearest flat surface, I don't care which? ;) No, seriously, probably I'd freak out for a good thirty seconds, pass another thirty staring and making a fool of myself and then I'd tell him that I loved his performances that I've seen (and I've seen almost all, which sadly, Lost excluded, wasn't really that great choice of movies but of course I'd shut up about it XD), that I think he's really good (which I think he is except he takes honest-to-god terrible parts) and then in a fit of honesty I'd tell him that after Do No Harm I was a total mess. Then I'd probably make him sign something and try to take a picture just to have the proof it happened.

3. Which cd could you not live without?

Just one..? Tie between Bon Jovi's 'These Days' and Springsteen's 'Darkness on the edge of town'.

4. What 2 OL people would you most like to meet?

Which I haven't met yet? Do all my flisters of the Lost/SPN fandoms count as one? ;) Really, everyone. I can't answer this with only one name.

5. You have one wish..what do you wish for(and dont cheat and say more wishes lol)?

Not seriously: bottomless bank account. Seriously, if I can't wish for big things like human race suddenly gaining sanity, as much happiness as possible for everyone that I know, RL and online.

Ok, one moment, finally I found an interesting thing to say. My mother brings me this newspaper and says that Tim Burton is in Rome at the Auditorium on the 23rd talking about his movies. And the ticket to go see him is four euros.

Which means tomorrow I'm so buying it, so buying it.

EDIT: ok, just finished watching a decent enough shot of PS I love you because I'm damn not waiting for it to come out here.

I think Jeffrey Dean Morgan has sent my brain into hyperventilation. Seriously. Because I mean, he talked with an accent that was totally Desmond. Which would have been enough to kill me. But there's a scene that.. well, if you have seen it, I mean that scene exactly. The one where he played the guitar comes just after that.

I'd better go to sleep and calm my fangirling mess down.

BTW the movie was actually very nice, from an objective POV. Which for me ended at about 1 hour 15 into it and never really recovered. But the movie was nice.

Wow! I bet Tim Burton would be really interesting speaker. You'll have to report back on the event.

Five questions for you:
1. Who is your favourite philosopher?
2. Would you rather travel back to the past or to the future and why?
3. What is the best and worst things about living in Rome?
4. Who are the five Lost characters you would have over for dinner and what would you serve them?
5. What were you like when you were ten years old?

I sure will! I'll try to take pics even if it isn't allowed but I already went there last year for Micheal Cimino and Jim Jarmush and with the second I was lucky enough to get a signature.. maybe I'll be too this time. And the questions..

1 Ancient: I'd say Epicurus. About the moderns, Kant.
2 I don't think I'd want to see the future, but some innocent past traveling without time paradoxes, I'd do. I think I'd choose Paris in the first years of '900 or, much more materially, some American city in the seventies in order to see live 95% of my favorite groups which existed at the time and sadly don't now.
3 The best thing is that it's that, well, is the city itself. One friend of mine who doesn't live here once said when we were in the center that us who live here don't understand how beautiful it is and probably she's right. And that it's a big city where you can find anything you need and have lots of possibilities to spend your time. Worst thing.. well unfortunately it isn't much clean (especially in not touristic places), but all the bad sides of the coin are shared with 90% of the Italian cities really.
4 Uhm.. I'd probably have Desmond, Sayid, Sawyer, Boone and Hurley.

Desmond: firstly, I'd use as much biological stuff as possible (after two years of Dharma food, you know...) and I'd try to fix him a sort of Mediterran dinner which would probably include a plate of pasta with pesto as they do in Genoa, a second portion with fish and vegetables and I'd probably get him the Mozart chocolate things for dessert.

Sayid: I'd feel intimidated because he's a better cook than me for sure, but I'd stay clear from meat and maybe I'd fix him some home-made pasta with seafood in order to make only a dish and then I'd get him a very good coffee. Which at least I'm good at doing.

Sawyer: that'd be the easiest one. I'd go and bring him to the best place we have here to eat pizza and let him have whatever he wants.

Boone: I'd probably pass two days in the kitchen fixing a complete but not-too-heavy meal, probably pasta dressed with the Sicilian variant of the pesto above, a good choice of vegetables and I'd buy a Sacher for dessert, since I can fix a meal but in baking cakes I'm a disaster.

Hurley: this dish, though I'd have a friend to help me because it's not easy to make. And I'd bake him muffins.

5 That's a question ;) uhm, I wore much more feminine clothes than I do now, my hair was very short, I had very embarrassing musical tastes, I talked too fast, I wanted to be a clothes designer (I still don't understand where this came from though) and, uhm, I probably wasn't a much affectionate child with the exception of my family and very close friends. And thankfully the music and clothes was over when I was twelve ;)

Wow! What thoughtful answers to throw away questions, especially the Lost dinner one. You would take such good care of these guys. A not-too-heavy-meal for Boone...hmmm, I wonder why????
the female ghost of tom joad: lost boone dead but PRETTYjanie_tangerine on January 18th, 2008 08:24 pm (UTC)
I tend to get wordy and ramble but I guess it's not that bad option ;) the dinner one surprised me myself, but when thinking seriously about it it's been damn fun answering it. And hell, we'd sure take better take care of them than Darlton of course!

You really do wonder why? I thought I had been obvious on the reason... ;)

Oh, I don't know. **plays innocent** Maybe you wanted him to move some furniture later.
the female ghost of tom joad: lost boone bondagejanie_tangerine on January 18th, 2008 08:57 pm (UTC)
Nah, I'd get Eko for moving furniture.. he wouldn't even need help and I guess my desk is pretty heavy. I guess him and Ana would do an excellent moving-furniture-team ;) I sure want Boone to do something later which definitely includes a specific item of furniture but I sure won't tire his pretty self for such an occupation, I plan to tire him for much better purposes ;)

Whatever good they said, I think the fact that you get to see 98% of JDM's anatomy is a good enough reason to watch it ;) Really I'm still under positive shock ;)
