the female ghost of tom joad
This = my fic for [info]scifibigbang. [And I'm sort of using it also for another table. *cough*]

Title: Devil's Arcade
Art: totally awesome art by [info]divka
Pairings: Desmond/Sayid (main), Jack/Sawyer, Boone/Charlie (both sort non-explicit but there); most canon (male) characters appear. Sawyer/Kate and Desmond/Penny are sort of referred to, but they're both backstory.
Word Count: 32800
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: The rating is not only for a sex scene, but I went for it mostly because since it's a war fic it gets very violent, there's some gore, a full battle description, probably touchy/triggering subjects and everything that goes with the setting. (Though it's not a death fic.)
Summary: WWII AU; Desmond and Sayid (plus Charlie and Sawyer) are British soldiers at El Alamein. This follows them and others (Jack, plus Boone) in their unit from 1942 until 1945 (and sort of later, too).
A/N: first of all, endless thanks to [info]elliotsmelliot who did an awesome beta-ing job for this in a very short time and whose help was just priceless beyond any possible description. Thank you so much again for it. And to [info]divka who did the awesome art and who had to stand my complete and utter failure-ness with PMs. Also, this is the result of brainstorming over one fic idea for a year and a half. I just hope it did end up being a good effort. ;) Also, title stolen from Springsteen. Yes, I know you were all totally NOT expecting it.

Prologues [England, Iraq]; Part I [El Alamein - first]; Part II [El Alamein - second]; Interlude I [Tunisia]; Part III [Italy - Sicily]; Interlude II [Italy]; Part IV [Italy - Cassino]; Part V [Italy - Rome]; Part VI [Italy - Rome and Reggio Emilia]; Epilogues [Paris and New York]; Notes and references and research post; art by [info]divka

Title: Dignity (Is Often An Overrated Concept)
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Desmond/Charlie
Words: 1840
Spoilers: er, AU that implies that they got together in S3, got safely rescued and shacked up together. Nothing really except for Desmond having visions.
Summary: There are times when Charlie really, really hates Desmond. This is definitely one. Damn, he thinks, this is a bloody blow to his dignity, that’s what it is. Because he’s not ever, ever, ever sharing a fucking pink tartan quilt even if the heating is broken and he’s seriously freezing.
Disclaimer: er, no, Lost is not mine. Charlie would be alive and etc. etc. etc. as usual.
A/N: for the most awesome Queen [info]toestastegood who wished for Charlie and established relationships at [info]lostsquee. And er, since ages ago she had asked me the same pairing in association with quilt for another meme, here I comply that other request too. ;) And er, since I have too much time on my hands and I had a precise pattern for the quilt in my head, have a look at this awesome tartan before reading so that you know what poor Charlie is dealing with. ;) Er, the title sucks but I couldn't come up with a more decent one. *hates titles*

Er. Right. This thing took, like, three months or so and I managed to finish it just because the fix-it challenge made me re-write a good part of it and gave me an idea to actually make it work and well, here it goes.

Title: I Lost It (or four people who lost Boone Carlyle's heart and one who didn't)
Rating: R or something along those lines. There's sex, duh.
Pairings/Characters: Jack/Boone, Boone/Shannon, Boone/Charlie and Sawyer/Boone; Boone, Shannon, Charlie, Sawyer, Locke, Jack.
Words: 6474
Summary: It starts when Boone gets sick of lying and pretending he felt relieved when he never really did; two weeks after his hallucination, he goes to Jack and spills everything, from how they found the hatch to how he and Locke spend their days instead of hunting.
Spoilers: set in S1, none really if you know what the hatch is.
Disclaimer: Ha, not mine. This would have happened.
A/N: So, this is for the [info]lostsquee fix-it challenge because it actually attempts to fix everything I can fix about Boone's story starting with him hooking up with someone who actually would give a damn and telling about the hatch because it'd have been way less problematic if he had. But, this is also for [info]emiliglia who had prompted me with romantic Jack/Boone on island for her birthday *headdesk*. Sorry for making you wait three months. Title stolen from an infamous Lucinda Williams song. And using for [info]un_love_you #30, I trust you (writer's choice), which translates in me finishing that table. Also, the prompt said romantic and well, uhm, I tried. Kinda.

Then one day Jack finds him somewhere and says he needs help cataloging the meds. Could he give a hand? Boone says yes and that’s when it starts. )

two fics for [info]au_abc, one for that meme, both Lost, both weird pairings.
Errrm. *hides about the second one, but it was time I re-posted it*.

Title: Pretty Sights
Rating: R
Pairing: Shannon/Juliet
Words: 1927
Summary: “I’m glad I died in my own clothes. That jumpsuit? The more time I look at it the more I’d just want to take it off.”
Spoilers: until 5x15. The rest is speculation for the finale, but I'm sure it's not going to happen. But it was convenient.
Disclaimer: haaa, no, not mine.
A/N: for [info]lenina20 who wanted ghost for the alphabet meme; using for [info]au_abc, killed. Obviously, character death implied, but I swear it's as light as it goes. Sorry, but dead person/alive person was becoming too easy. ;)

Now, I think you’d be a very pretty sight yourself, but with that thing? Jesus. I hope that you took it off with Sawyer. )

Title: Dreams
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Jack/Charlie/Sawyer
Words: 1197
Summary: The only reason Charlie isn't freaking out is that this has to be a dream.
Spoilers: as long as you know that Charlie used drugs, you're safe.
Disclaimer: haaa, no, not mine.
A/N: this originally was for [info]lostsquee's fic battle ages ago for the prompt tentacle sex. But it's all [info]toestastegood's fault. ;) *coughcough* using for [info]au_abc, mutants. And yeah, you read tentacle sex and yes, it's what it is.

No doubt that, for a dream, this feels indeed real. )

Okay, so, three for now. The rest in the next days. And I still have about half of the letters free so if someone wants to claim a letter here it is.

Title: Empty-Handed Heart
Rating: PG
Characters: Boone
Words: 316
Summary: As he leaves Shannon behind, he realizes that he has been deliberately mean to her and that he had hoped she suffered at least one tenth as much as he had. This isn’t like him.
Spoilers: Mid S1.
Disclaimer: God, no, not mine. I'd be richer.
A/N: for [info]inthekeyofd who wanted Boone and vacant. Using for [info]un_love_you #13, I want to hurt you. Title stolen from Warren Zevon.

Feeling relieved brings a strange sensation. )

Title: Unstuck
Rating: PG
Characters: Daniel, Desmond (maaaybe Dan/Des if you want to see it)
Words: 788
Summary: Desmond is like some incredibly bright star against a dull, dark sky, an isolated system that doesn’t interact with its surroundings and transcends the blasted Minkowski spacetime where time only has a single dimension.
Spoilers: general S5. What's here is pure speculation, I'm not spoiled for what's happening re this particular thing.
Disclaimer: God, no, not mine. I'd be richer.
A/N: for [info]elliotsmelliot who wanted Desmond, Daniel and touch. Using for [info]chem15try #15, isolated system. The rant in the beginning probably owes something to my lessons of history of logic and I wouldn't have managed the thing without a lot of Wikipedia. Also, don't ask me where it came from, Daniel with me is very fickle.

Saying that Desmond is special is saying everything and nothing at the same time. )

Title: Beatles, Thackeray and the fragile concept of utopia
Rating: PG really
Pairing: Desmond/Charlie
Words: 529
Summary: In this very moment, Charlie’s world is nothing short of a fragment of a very comfortable utopia (fragment because he’s not that naïve and he knows that utopia is, sadly, a concept that rarely lasts); the bed is wide, the sheets were changed this morning and are clean and crispy (not to mention, it’s also his favorite set, the yellow one), the spring night isn’t chilly nor too hot, the radio on his night stand (the volume is low, of course) is passing Hey Jude and his arms are firmly wrapped around Desmond’s waist.
Spoilers: Er, mid S3? AU, established relationship and really, don't ask me explanations.
Disclaimer: God, no, not mine. I'd be richer.
A/N: for [info]toestastegood who wanted Des/Charlie and spooning. I guess that it'll probably get fluff-y. This is kinda set in the Networking universe, but it's really a standalone.

“Well, you can’t really beat the one and only rock god in this room, and I’m including the Beatles too.” )

Well, I am brain-dead and I need to start with the dump. Sorry in advance, but this will be the only one for today.

Title: Not What It Seems
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Sawyer/Boone
Words: 677
Summary: Contrary to appearances, Boone Carlyle does not fuck like a girl. Hell, no.
Spoilers: none if you have seen S1.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and I'm sure you didn't expect it.
A/N: written ages ago for the [info]lostsquee fic battle, for the prompt like fucking a girl; using for [info]un_love_you #26, I can be like you.

Boone never says anything and Sawyer, who never was one for words, doesn't talk. )

Title: Such A Tease
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Boone/Charlie
Words: 1005
Summary: While he can get someone being annoyed, Charlie is being a pain instead of cooperating here and no, the fact that it's Charlie's back being pushed on the blanket full of holes doesn't mean that he's going to justify him much longer just because of that.
Spoilers: none if you have seen S1.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and I'm sure you didn't expect it.
A/N: written ages ago for the [info]lostsquee fic battle, for the prompt S1 sex with snark; using for [info]un_love_you #24, I want you to hate me.

“That was sodding good. Hate to admit it, and you talk way too much and tease way too much, but sure as bloody hell you know what you're doing. )

Title: Annunciation
Rating: PG
Characters: Ben, dead!Boone
Words: 728
Summary: Ben figures this guy is just your usual arts student whom you always meet in the Tate gallery and turns his attention back on the painting, feeling his cell phone in his pocket. The call should arrive any second.
Spoilers: mostly for S4 including the finale. I wrote it before S5 aired so take it as an AU even if it's technically set in S5.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and I'm sure you didn't expect it.
A/N: written for my interview at the [info]thequillstation, using for [info]un_love_you #18, I pity you.

Well, I'm in a fanmix mood. You don't want to know how many I have in program. ;) But I've had this one in my head for ages, I need to get back into the swing of writing Charlie because I need to finish at least four Charlie fics, it bitched at me for at least two months and then I figured I could go for it. Also because I'm missing Charlie so much lately it isn't even funny. This is not about any particular period, it's just me and random songs which are supposed to span over three seasons even if I've used two measures with the heroin phase. I could be happier with the covers but as usual the guy didn't want to cooperate as he doesn't in fic *glares*. And now I'll stop blathering and post the thing. Also, this is kind of varied stuff with my usual favorites thrown in.

Title: I've Been Everywhere 6/14
Rating: PG-13 for this part, will reach NC17 overall
Characters/Pairings for this part: Jack, Sawyer, Charlie; implied Charlie/Claire and there is some bed sharing which isn't exactly slashy but so it goes.
Word counting: 3320 this part, around 50000 overall.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and all the folk songs used here are not mine. The places really exist and I've never been there.
Summary: Sawyer is a rambling musician during the Dust Bowl, Jack a former L.A. doctor traveling with him.
Thanks to: [info]elliotsmelliot for the great beta job for which I can't be grateful enough and to [info]fosfomifira for the title. I'd still be searching for one otherwise.
A/N: the song referenced here is Jesus Christ by Woody Guthrie. I know it probably was written in the forties but let's just pretend some version of it was around before. ;)

Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, Part VII, Part VIII, Part IX, Part X, Part XI, Part XII, Part XIII, Part XIV

Title: Deliver Me From Bypass Mode
Rating: PG-13, but there's... uuuhm, a glimpse of cybersex?
Characters: Desmond, Charlie/Desmond, Jack/Sawyer/Sayid, everyone else probably
Words: 3322, but most of it is dialogue/chatting.
Summary: It's Desmond's turn to be sucked into the survivors' chatroom of doom. Ghosts show up and cybersex happens.
Spoilers: goes AU from One of Us.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine. Reading this, you'll realize why.
A/N: this is as the previous one for [info]toestastegood, who asked me for a sequel to Networking for her birthday *kicks herself*, and I am incredibly sorry of having delayed it until now but hey, take it as birthday, New Year's and Christmas present. ;) As cracked as the previous one, so don't search for any kind of seriousness here. Title stolen from the same Warren Zevon song I stole the title of the other fic.

Characters/Pairing: the blue shirt, Boone, Charlie, Tom with a Desmond and Sayid appearance
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: If this happens on the show I'll pay a dinner for all of my friendslist. Of course not mine.
Word count: 1973
Spoilers: S4 finale.
Summary: the blue shirt has been quietly living in her maple wood closet filled with lavender scent when she receives an unexpected visit.
A/N: Second of the Christmas fics, this one for [info]elliotsmelliot who wanted further blue shirt adventures. I had a couple of ideas, then this one hit and it just wouldn't go away. And it's absolute, blatant and pure crack. Hope you like it! ♥

Characters/Pairing: Boone/Charlie
Rating: NC17
Disclaimer: come on, you really think such stuff wouldn't be canon if Lost was mine?
Word count: 4200

Summary: This groupie is a he and usually he-groupies choose Liam. Not him. When there are any he-groupies at all. In his head, Charlie has been calling this bloke His Prettiness since he set eyes on him backstage.
A/N: for [info]un_love_you #4, I need to want you. Thanks to the mostly awesome [info]dustyirish2003 for the quick and great beta-ing job with this one. Title: Room Without Love
Rating: PG13
Pairing: Charlie/Claire
Word Count:
Disclaimer: If Lost was mine it'd never have come to this point.
Summary: It’s not fun, when you find out how much you really love someone just when they’re gone.
Spoilers: for the S4 finale.
A/N: for Queen [info]hopelessfangirl at [info]lostsquee, who asked for Charlie/Claire. Now, I like the pairing but never felt too much involved with it so I was at a loss until I heard Room Without Love by Nils Lofgren (yeah, if it isn't Springsteen it's his guitarist) which kind of gave me the bunny, so I went with it. I wish I could link the lyrics only but they aren't on the net *shrugs*. And even if it's post S4 finale it shouldn't be too angsty, or so I hope. Also, first shot at the pairing and at Claire altogether so uhm, go easy on me?

Title: Networking
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Charlie, Charlie/surprise person, mostly everyone else, Jack/Sawyer and occasional Jack/Sawyer/Sayid implied
Words: 2755, but most of it is dialogue/chatting.
Summary: Claire invites Charlie to a chatroom with the rest of the survivors.
Spoilers: goes AU from One of Us.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine. Reading this, you'll realize why.
A/N: queen [info]toestastegood at [info]lostsquee asked for Charlie and the Internet. I fear that this is way too crack (and probably too stupid) for what you had in mind and I sincerely apologize for the total madness of this thing, but I had the plot and wouldn't go away. I hope you like it nonetheless and that my crack muse didn't take a false step! Though the ending should make up for any wankiness of this. Also, I know that there isn't the Internet hour in prisons and that the ending is completely arbitrary but since this is crack, I take everything as artistic license. It goes AU from One of Us because it implies that they were all rescued at a time between that episode and Catch 22. Using for [info]10_shakespeare, 'What case am I in?'. Title stolen from Warren Zevon. Won for best humorous fic, August 2008, and for most fantastically funny fic at the big damn fic awards of 2008 at [info]lost_fic_awards, August 2008.

fic, Lost: The Infamous Pen Business (Boone/Charlie, Artz), PG13, for [info]12_stories
So, this thing basically boils down to the fact that I owed a Boone/Charlie for a table I'm almost finished with and I didn't want to do another afterlife one. Especially because I've got three dead!Boone bunnies to take care of already. So I decided that it was going to be S1, both of them alive and totally angst free. And as soon as I finally manage to get Boone not to angst, Charlie starts angsting on me all over the place and I had to throw Arzt in for good measure. So in the end it wasn't totally angst free but it's all light stuff and it's S1 and no one dies. Good enough right?

Title: The Infamous Pen Business
Characters/Pairing: Boone/Charlie, Arzt special appearance
Rating: PG13 mostly for some language
Disclaimer: Still not mine, though at this point they could give me Boone since I've probably stuck with him more than the writers cared to.
Word count: 4130
Spoilers: Based more or less from The Moth until some time before Special. But everybody has seen those, right?
Summary: Boone really, really hates pens.
A/N: for [info]12_stories #11, questions. Even if the title might suggest that, it's not crack. It's only plain light stuff. Gets back on the fact that I'm convinced that Boone loves Simon and Garfunkel and well, I know that Charlie didn't get his Tricia Tanaka shirt from where I made him get it here but allow me some poetic license ;) also, I think I totally fail at writing Artz. But I swear I tried. Oh, and I assumed that Claire kept some goth music taste even after turning back to blonde. Forgive me if I went with the only sort of metal group I'm acquainted with. Nominated for Best Slash Fic at [info]lost_fic_awards, June 2008.

So this prompt had to be for Claire. But I couldn't write it for how much I tried. Then I couldn't do anything for it, then I was skimming the lyrics for the challenge at [info]charliepacefic, the bunny merged with another obsession of mine and there it is. Before someone has doubts/notices it, yes, I've got a kick for keeping Steve alive. He's the only named redshirt that has been around since the beginning and still isn't officially dead, so I keep him alive for the sake of it.

Title: Far from the Twisted Reach of Crazy Sorrow
Characters: Desmond, Sawyer, implied that Charlie is the focus of the fic
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Desmond? Not mine. Sawyer? Not mine. Charlie? Would be alive if he was. Mr Tambourine Man? Bob Dylan's. Strawberry Fields Forever? John Lennon's.
Word count: 2807
Spoilers: Up to Cabin Fever.
Summary: When everyone is gone, when everything is over and when they know they won’t ever be found again because the island is not there anymore, when Claire is still gone and Ben has disappeared into the Orchid, they set up a cross.
A/N: Written for the challenge #3 at [info]charliepacefic with the lyrics from Mr Tambourine Man by Bob Dylan and 'Living is easy with your eyes closed' from Strawberry Fields Forever by the Beatles. I don't know whether it's fine because while Charlie is actually the center of it he really isn't there physically, but it was good to write anyways. And I guess that since I'm using it for [info]philosophy_20 #2, loss, I couldn't make it any other way. And I'm done. I finished it. I finished it. *still can't believe it*

Sawyer says that it’s pretty shit for a funeral and Desmond has to agree; a funeral with nobody but three people on a hill where barely ten desiccated trees stand up is pretty horrible, indeed. )

So, thing is, I realizes I'm this close to finish this damned table and while I'm not too enthusiast about this one, I didn't know what the hell to make out of that prompt (I mean, I tried with four different bunnies and there wasn't one that sounded right) and decided to go with it. And I'm pretty sure that the Charlie section is sort of not good. However.

Title: Your Own Personal Jesus (or five times in which Desmond was one)
Characters: Desmond, plus Locke, Sawyer, Charlie, Penny and Sayid
Rating: PG13
Disclaimer: Desmond isn't mine, Lost isn't mine and Personal Jesus belongs to Depeche Mode.
Word count: 3106
Spoilers: Up to 4x09.
Summary: Exactly what the title says.
A/N: for [info]philosophy_20 #8, faith. The last section is not based on spoilers. I just speculated on what Ben did in 4x09. The idea definitely occurred while listening to that song in a completely random moment but apart from title, concept and section titles I didn't steal that much. Well, guess I stole much to begin with but whatever. I don't even know what I think of it myself. I only hope I didn't go OOC with anyone.

Title: Miracle Drug
Characters/Pairing: Desmond/Charlie aka smack to the future?
Rating: R
Disclaimer: So not mine. The end of S3 wouldn't have been the end of S3 if they were.
Word count: 3601
Spoilers: Up to Flashes Before Your Eyes. Set more or less around Par Avion time.
Summary: If he only could take a trip inside Desmond’s head the way he went on another kind of trips once, he thinks. But Charlie would need a miracle drug for it and he isn’t so sure that such a thing exists.
A/N: For [info]philosophy_20 #4, inertia. So, I had been wanting to write Des/Charlie for months and it didn't want to come together. Then last day I was listening to a U2 song and magically this thing started off alone and it kind of wrote itself. I didn't even know where the hell it was going until the last section or so. Uhm, I guess angst alert? Blatantly ignores everything that happened in S4. Disclaimer: If it was mine, he wouldn't have been dead. Duh, this is getting old. Can they just give him to me since they don't care about him and so we just end it here? The Sound of Silence is Simon and Garfunkel's. Hey, I think it's totally his favorite song.
Spoilers: Up to The Greater Good.
Summary: Boone goes to marches.
A/N: Uhm. I've taken a trip inside Boone's head and this'd be the results. Hereby is my take on how/why/when/with whom Boone went to marches. Totally stretched out from like, two quotes. Quite some of it is from personal experience, since I go to marches, too. And this is also very liberal and not very pro-Bush. Hey, he's a liberal. Sorry for the highly probable history butchering about the first Bush election. I do realize that Mr Carlyle suffers from my unconditional love for Clint Eastwood in The Bridges of Madison County but hey, did canon say a thing about Mr. Carlyle? No. And since Boone was too good for having taken from his mother, do the maths ;) I had the idea after those gun drabbles and it just wanted to be written. Title shamelessly stolen from Bob Dylan's 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall'. Now you can read it with the dvd commentary!

A/N: For the picture prompt, day 7, at [info]lostsquee (the pic with the gun). This is one of the weirdest things I've ever done and I still think I'm not any good at drabbles but it wanted to go like this *shrugs*. Blame Steve Earle and Johnny Cash for the title. I really should stop listening to music at the gym.

He’s in trouble and it’s a damn sorry one. But that gun that put him there, it won’t get him out. )
