the female ghost of tom joad
This = my fic for [info]scifibigbang. [And I'm sort of using it also for another table. *cough*]

Title: Devil's Arcade
Art: totally awesome art by [info]divka
Pairings: Desmond/Sayid (main), Jack/Sawyer, Boone/Charlie (both sort non-explicit but there); most canon (male) characters appear. Sawyer/Kate and Desmond/Penny are sort of referred to, but they're both backstory.
Word Count: 32800
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: The rating is not only for a sex scene, but I went for it mostly because since it's a war fic it gets very violent, there's some gore, a full battle description, probably touchy/triggering subjects and everything that goes with the setting. (Though it's not a death fic.)
Summary: WWII AU; Desmond and Sayid (plus Charlie and Sawyer) are British soldiers at El Alamein. This follows them and others (Jack, plus Boone) in their unit from 1942 until 1945 (and sort of later, too).
A/N: first of all, endless thanks to [info]elliotsmelliot who did an awesome beta-ing job for this in a very short time and whose help was just priceless beyond any possible description. Thank you so much again for it. And to [info]divka who did the awesome art and who had to stand my complete and utter failure-ness with PMs. Also, this is the result of brainstorming over one fic idea for a year and a half. I just hope it did end up being a good effort. ;) Also, title stolen from Springsteen. Yes, I know you were all totally NOT expecting it.

Prologues [England, Iraq]; Part I [El Alamein - first]; Part II [El Alamein - second]; Interlude I [Tunisia]; Part III [Italy - Sicily]; Interlude II [Italy]; Part IV [Italy - Cassino]; Part V [Italy - Rome]; Part VI [Italy - Rome and Reggio Emilia]; Epilogues [Paris and New York]; Notes and references and research post; art by [info]divka

fic, Lost: Mystery Spot (Jack/Boone), light NC17, for [info]2x5obsessions
This is so Not what I should have been doing. Whoever left that prompt at [info]thequillstation? I dunno who you are but I'm sure you knew I was going to take it. ;)

Title: Mystery Spot
Rating: light NC17
Pairing: Jack/Boone
Words: 2454
Spoilers: for The Incident.
Summary: He comes to his senses and it's dark; "... Jack?" a weak, soft and shocked voice asks; everything goes black.
Disclaimer: Lost is sure as hell not mine. Groundhog Day is not mine. The prompt isn't mine either. The title is from a SPN episode and it isn't mine either. Got the point?
A/N: written for the spooky battle at [info]thequillstation for the prompt Jack/Boone, groundhog day death. I just couldn't NOT do it, even if I seriously should be finishing a lot of other crap. Using for [info]2x5obsessions #1, estranged existence. And whoever watches SPN will get why I stole the title from that episode. Mostly because I don't have time to come up with an intelligent one. (Actually, cookies if you get the SPN reference which doesn't have zilch to do with Mystery Spot.)

Jack closes his eyes. )

Oh dear. I'm so nervous about this one.

Title: It's Fun To Lose And To Pretend
Fandom: Lost
Character: Nirvana!Jack (plus light Jack/Sawyer and Jack/Juliet implied)
Rating: er, does hard PG-13 exist? Look at the warnings.
Warnings: Heavy spoilers for the S3/S4 finales. Anndd.. there's drug use, alcohol, abundance of grunge music, ghosts, delusional fantasies and musings about dead grunge singers which aren't necessarily of the sane kind.
Summary: It starts just because he needs something loud enough.
Tracks/Words: 13 tracks, 4850 words.
Notes: for Queen [info]alliecat8 at [info]lostsquee, who asked for Jack love. Errrr. This is so not happy or fluffy or anything else but when you commented somewhere that you used to like Nirvana a lot and then you asked for Jack I had to dust this off. Because I had like three sections written since ages and I never brought myself to go forward, but I always wanted to actually write something regarding why the hell does Jack like grunge music so much and I swear it was done out of pure love. I ♥ Jack like, a lot. And I have a bit of Jack/Sawyer in there too, even if sorry again, nothing of the HAPPY! sort.
Notes #2: if I ever wrote something music-inspired where the music is an integral part of the whole thing, this is it. So I used box.net because it should give you the possibility to hear stuff without downloading if you open the link in another window, either from the direct one on the song or from the widget I put in the bottom. And I sincerely hope it didn't end up being cryptic or something. I'm so nervous about this really. Also, the Uncut copy really exists. I own it. And I know that Janis Joplin isn't grunge, it's just that IMHO her song fits. ;) Uh, and Scentless Apprentice and Gouge Away were the ones in the actual show. Okay. I'm shutting up.

He might try with pills and alcohol, but they won't shut his father up anymore; after a couple of weeks, he realizes how much of a hopeless cause it is. He'll appear anyway; Jack will have to listen to him anyway.  )

Title: As In Jack Slash Sawyer, or Dean Slash Castiel
Rating: PG13 (for swearing mostly, and for my terrible imitation of Chuck's writing)
Pairings: Jack/Sawyer, peripheral Dean/Castiel
Words: 2308
Spoilers: none really for Lost except that this implies that Nirvana!Jack existed (though it's completely AU and implies that Jack and Sawyer shacked up together, just run with your imagination) and up until the S4 finale for SPN (but specific spoilers for 4x18.
Summary: Jack and Sawyer have a literary addiction. To the Winchester gospels.
Disclaimer: Lost is most definitely not mine (sadly) and Supernatural definitely is NOT, and it's better in Kripke's hands than mine, also because the CW wouldn't ever have anything I could come up with.
A/N: for the most awesome Queen [info]hopelessfangirl at [info]lostsquee who asked for crack, likes Jack/Sawyer and said that crazy crossovers were allowed. Er. This wasn't going to leave my head so I went for it. I know that Dean/Cas isn't your main pairing but it was more suited for what I wanted to go for here so I hope you like it anyway. ♥ ;) And as per your request (half), Claire gets mentioned (but she's important) and... well, this is pure and utter crack. Oh dear, what did I do, what did I do. Title stolen from SPN 4x18, more or less.

Point is, Sawyer should feel fucking ashamed of enjoying this crap. )

Title: Closest Thing To A Friend
Fandom: Lost
Pairing: Jack/Sawyer
Type: Fanmix
Notes: Late (sorry!) gift for the most lovely Queen [info]invisiblelove at [info]lostsquee who wished for Jack/Sawyer. Sadly my fluff muse wasn't cooperating at all yesterday and I couldn't come up with anything original, but I hope this is a good alternative! ♥ PS: the last song is because I can. ;) ;)

Title: Are We Going To The Same Place? If So, Can I Come?
Rating: PG
Characters: Jack, Sawyer
Words: 1463
Spoilers:for the S5 finale. (Also in the summary, so I wouldn't read that if you didn't see said episode.)
Summary: Jack takes another sip and he's unable to take his eyes off Sawyer. Or James. Or Jim. Fuck knows how should he call him, especially since standing to reason Jack has never met a Jim LaFleur. Even if he remembers meeting him thirthy-something years ago.
Disclaimer: nothing here is mine if you were wondering.
A/N: (late) fic for Queen [info]siluria at [info]lostsquee who requested bad weather. Er, well, I have no excuse for this except that I always wanted to write Nirvana!fan!Jack goes to Seattle. Title stolen from a Pearl Jam song since we're talking grunge. I think I did my research right, but since I dunno if some stuff here would require trips to Wikipedia, Sub-Pop = Nirvana's first record label, Crocodile Cafe = venue where I think everyone who can be labeled as grunge has played sometime between late eighties and mid nineties. Er, okay, I think I'm done blathering.

“Sub-Pop. You. What, you became a Nirvana fanboy?” )

Er. Right. This thing took, like, three months or so and I managed to finish it just because the fix-it challenge made me re-write a good part of it and gave me an idea to actually make it work and well, here it goes.

Title: I Lost It (or four people who lost Boone Carlyle's heart and one who didn't)
Rating: R or something along those lines. There's sex, duh.
Pairings/Characters: Jack/Boone, Boone/Shannon, Boone/Charlie and Sawyer/Boone; Boone, Shannon, Charlie, Sawyer, Locke, Jack.
Words: 6474
Summary: It starts when Boone gets sick of lying and pretending he felt relieved when he never really did; two weeks after his hallucination, he goes to Jack and spills everything, from how they found the hatch to how he and Locke spend their days instead of hunting.
Spoilers: set in S1, none really if you know what the hatch is.
Disclaimer: Ha, not mine. This would have happened.
A/N: So, this is for the [info]lostsquee fix-it challenge because it actually attempts to fix everything I can fix about Boone's story starting with him hooking up with someone who actually would give a damn and telling about the hatch because it'd have been way less problematic if he had. But, this is also for [info]emiliglia who had prompted me with romantic Jack/Boone on island for her birthday *headdesk*. Sorry for making you wait three months. Title stolen from an infamous Lucinda Williams song. And using for [info]un_love_you #30, I trust you (writer's choice), which translates in me finishing that table. Also, the prompt said romantic and well, uhm, I tried. Kinda.

Then one day Jack finds him somewhere and says he needs help cataloging the meds. Could he give a hand? Boone says yes and that’s when it starts. )

Rating: NC17

Words: 6165
Summary: Daniel's plan worked and Jack remembers everything. Boone doesn't.
Spoilers: heavy for the S5 finale, and I mean it.
Disclaimer: Ha, not mine. This would happen next season.
A/N: birthday fic for [info]elise_509 who left me one of the most delicious prompts I could ask for. Clearly it got completely out of hand but it was in the package. ;) Using for [info]un_love_you #25, you remind me of someone; title from a certain Steve Earle song which I like far too much.

“It’s just... it’s like you reminded me of someone I don’t know. I mean, I’m sure I never met you anywhere before and I don’t think I know anyone else who looks like you, but you just look... I don’t know, familiar?” )

Title: Inside A Break
Rating: R
Pairing: Jack/Sawyer
Words: 1153
Summary: He can’t even breathe and Sawyer’s grip is so hard that it hurts, it really fucking hurts, but he just holds back and doesn’t blink when Sawyer whispers I hate you in his ear.
Spoilers: for the S5 finale. Heavy. I mean it.
Disclaimer: seriously, do I look like Darlton?
A/N: for [info]invisiblelove who wanted zipper for the alphabet meme. This probably isn't what she had imagined, but I swear I'll make it up with the other two. ;) Title stolen very randomly from John Frusciante but I really couldn't come up with one.

Errrm. *hides about the second one, but it was time I re-posted it*.

Title: Pretty Sights
Rating: R
Pairing: Shannon/Juliet
Words: 1927
Summary: “I’m glad I died in my own clothes. That jumpsuit? The more time I look at it the more I’d just want to take it off.”
Spoilers: until 5x15. The rest is speculation for the finale, but I'm sure it's not going to happen. But it was convenient.
Disclaimer: haaa, no, not mine.
A/N: for [info]lenina20 who wanted ghost for the alphabet meme; using for [info]au_abc, killed. Obviously, character death implied, but I swear it's as light as it goes. Sorry, but dead person/alive person was becoming too easy. ;)

Now, I think you’d be a very pretty sight yourself, but with that thing? Jesus. I hope that you took it off with Sawyer. )

Title: Dreams
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Jack/Charlie/Sawyer
Words: 1197
Summary: The only reason Charlie isn't freaking out is that this has to be a dream.
Spoilers: as long as you know that Charlie used drugs, you're safe.
Disclaimer: haaa, no, not mine.
A/N: this originally was for [info]lostsquee's fic battle ages ago for the prompt tentacle sex. But it's all [info]toestastegood's fault. ;) *coughcough* using for [info]au_abc, mutants. And yeah, you read tentacle sex and yes, it's what it is.

Title: The Last Two Hours
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Jack/Sayid
Words: 1069
Spoilers: heavy for 5x15, Follow The Leader.
Summary: Jack doesn’t really know why he’s doing this and if he isn’t getting everything wrong, but hell, it’s the last two hours of their lives. Right?
Disclaimer: not mine, this'd happen in the finale.
A/N: For [info]jaydblu who asked relief on the infamous alphabet meme. Also, I wanted to write Jack/Sayid after last episode so I jumped on it.

There’s something relieving about Sayid’s mere presence; Jack can’t exactly put it into words but it feels good to have him on his side even with everything that passed in between. )

Title: What If It Was True?
Rating: PG-something
Pairing: Jack/Boone
Words: 2802
Summary: He takes all the information in, breathes out, shakes his head and says that at least he’s alive. His throat hurts as he speaks, but Jack nods and Boone can’t help thinking he seems relieved.
Spoilers: AU from Do No Harm.
Disclaimer: pff, not mine. See what happens.
A/N: for [info]polaroid_friend, who wanted healing and Jack/Boone. Obviously, seeing the pairing, it got completely out of hand. Using for [info]lostpicksix #31, pillow talk, and entering for [info]lostfichallenge #93, your favorite character. Clearly, it's completely AU.

Title: Hunger Strike
Rating: PG
Pairing: Jack/Juliet
Words: 329
Summary: Jack’s lips are thin and forceful upon hers, the opposite of that first time which was also the last until a minute ago; he kisses her like he’s starving for it and she can’t not meet it, not when she has hoped for this for… three or thirty years. Doesn’t matter.
Spoilers: for 5x13, Some Like It Hoth.
Disclaimer: not mine. I wish. I wish..
A/N: for [info]prettybutt who wanted kiss. Title blatantly stolen from Temple Of The Dog.

She wants for him to suffer because he left and allowed her to fall for someone else when she never had the chance to be with him before moving on. )

Title: The Week Before Moving Day
Rating: PG
Pairing: Jack/Juliet
Words: 339
Summary: She gives a good tip to both the workers who brought the bed up to the sixth floor; when it’s set, even if bare of everything except the mattress, she looks at it fondly, as it stands alone in what will be their bedroom in a short while.
Spoilers: meh, this is a total AU where they were all rescued in S3. Or something. Just pretend S4/5/the 3 finale never happened.
Disclaimer: not mine, this would happen.
A/N: for [info]coffeecrisp7, who wanted empty and I promptly used an angst prompt for shameless romance. But I couldn't do angst anymore.

Jack is at work when the bed arrives; she takes the afternoon off to be there. )

Title: Eighteen-Hour Drive
Rating: PG
Pairing: Jack/Juliet
Words: 505
Summary: I wanted to ask you to take the rest of the day off and go with me to Seattle.
Spoilers: argh. This implies that Nirvana!Jack happened but that S5 never happened. Just let's pretend they rescued them normally and go as AU as possible.
Disclaimer: not mine, this would have happened already-
A/N: for [info]neated, who wanted notice. This is definitely not what you were expecting probably. *hides* By the way, if the reference was obscure, Sub Pop is was Nirvana's first record company (and well, actually the first record company of every serious grunge group I guess, or almost).

Title: Oxycontin Blues
Rating: PG13 because it's Nirvana!Jack
Characters: Jack
Words: 443
Summary: Jack's idea of a perfect evening, when it comes into practice, is usually spent on his mattress in his living room, with a bottle of cheap brandy on his right side, a flacon of Oxycontin on his left and Kurt Cobain for company.
Spoilers: set ideally a bit before the S3 finale flashforward.
Disclaimer: Lost is indeed not mine. There would have been more O6!Jack in his downward spiral if it was.
A/N: for [info]emiliglia who wanted Jack and oxycontin. Title stolen from Steve Earle but the music within is all Nirvana references because I love my Nirvana!Jack so.

Jack doesn’t know when his perfect evening became an equation made of the fragile balance of five or so elements. )

Title: Devils And Dust
Rating: PG I guess
Characters: Sayid
Words: 610
Summary: Sayid never felt more aware of every wrong choice he made his whole life; the time he spent trying to be a decent person or a good man or at least not someone who harms innocent people looks like a pitiful loss of time.
Spoilers: for 5x10, He's Our You.
Disclaimer: God, no, not mine. I'd be richer.
A/N: for [info]zelda_zee who wanted Sayid and innocence. Title stolen from a Springsteen song which probably has its influence.

He wonders what he would see into his eyes if he had a mirror. )

Title: Lessons
Rating: PG
Characters: Juliet
Words: 661
Summary: See, the thing is that Juliet is nobody’s fool when it comes to other people trying either to make a fool out of her or fool her into doing something. Or at least, after being burned more than once, she doesn't think she be tricked anymore.
Spoilers: until 3x05.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine, what news.
A/N: for [info]missy_useless who wanted Juliet and fool. This is probably weird, but it wanted to be like this. Terrible title but it happens when I don't find any song to steal it from.

Everything she does since she sets foot in the room where they keep Shephard with a tray in her hands is pretending because she’s going along with Ben’s plan, but she knows better. )

Well, it took me three months but I did finish this. Really.

Title: A Dream Awaits In Aisle Number Two
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Jack/Boone
Words: 7225
Summary: Jack starts buying groceries in Sarah's place; Boone is the new assistant at the supermarket he goes to.
Spoilers: pre-series AU, so as long as you've seen Abandoned and you know how things went between Jack and Sarah you're safe.
Disclaimer: So definitely not mine.
A/N: using for [info]lostpicksix #4, crush and [info]au_abc, normal. This was thoroughly inspired by Bruce Springsteen's Queen Of The Supermarket (from where I stole the title, too); also, I'm sure he wouldn't mind since he said himself that he sees supermarkets as places full of sexual innuendo. Of course, this thing is completely AU from beginning to end. Also entering for [info]lostfichallenge #93, free for all.

Title: On Two Different Sides
Rating: PG13
Characters: dead!Boone, the Oceanic 6 (there's some kinda Jack/Boone thrown in the end)
Words: 700
Summary: He wishes Sun hadn’t been there; he wishes he could do something; he wishes Aaron wasn't born when he was born; he wishes he understood her; he wishes he could resent Sayid; he wishes he had died when the beechcraft fell.
Spoilers: nothing beyond the S4 flashforwards.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine. Boone wouldn't be dead *rolls eyes*.
A/N: for [info]un_love_you #17, wish I didn't love you. The first five sections are drabbles, the last is 200 words because I just couldn't be brief. I don't have an idea of where it came from but hey, it was cooperating, I went with it. Nothing of the happy sort.

Title: You'll Be A Lover In My Bed And A Gun To My Head
Rating: argh, something like hard PG13?
Pairing: Jack/Juliet
Words: 3176
Summary: Juliet becomes metaphorically a lover in his bed and literally a gun to his head. She’s a gun to his head because he cares and she knows and they all know and so much for trying to stay detached and clear of weak points. And she’s a lover in his bed but isn’t at the same time because sure as hell they never even kissed and if he thinks about Kate it still hurts all over.
Spoilers: goes AU for the last episode but I'd be safe to say general S5 until now. Goes AU for 5x08.
Warning: features a lot of Nirvana!Jack.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine. There wouldn't be a quadrangle.
A/N: [info]neated my dearest, this be your belated birthday fic. I don't know if it fills the denial fic request 100% but I did try. On general notes: this goes AU from LaFleur in the sense that the final scene never happened. I couldn't deal with canon directly. Also, this was heavily inspired by the Smashing Pumpkins' Ava Adore, from which I also stole the title (but I think it isn't half as morbid). Okay, I'm stopping the blathering.
A/N 2: if as for last time I gave Jack a definite age someone has something to say, I'll gracefully ignore it.

Fun, that remembering Juliet is pretty much the only thing that will really feel painful for him these days. )

Word counting: 5883 this part, 50000 ca overall.

Summary: Sawyer is a rambling musician during the Dust Bowl, Jack a former doctor from L.A. traveling with him.
Thanks to: [info]elliotsmelliot for the great beta job for which I can't be grateful enough and to [info]fosfomifira for the title. I'd still be searching for one otherwise.
A/N: the songs referenced are I Ain't Got No Home as usual and This Land Is Your Land by Woody Guthrie in its original, uncensored version. ;) Then... ah, I can't believe this took six months to get done but well, it's here, it's done, I'm insanely proud of it and I just hope the end lives up to everything. Rating: PG-13, will reach NC17 overall (-> next chapter)
Characters for this part: Sawyer, Jack, Desmond, Penny, Michael, Walt, Bernard, Rose.
Word counting: 6804 this part, 50000 ca overall.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and all the folk songs used here are not mine. The places really exist and I've never been there.
A/N: The song referenced in the beginning and the end is My Oklahoma Home, a traditional from the time which I only have by Springsteen and maaaybe Pete Seeger but I'm sure there are older version. The girl with whom Jack dances is the one from The Hunting Party which here is Gabriella instead of Gabriela because Gabriela in Italy does not exist. It's with two ls, dammit. The other two songs are Old Dan Tucker and Chicken Reel, which you can find done by a bunch of people and which are actually the same tunes in the dancing scene of The Grapes of Wrath, but I chose that stuff not consciously. Then I found out and had a laugh. And that'd be it. Next chapter (and last) should be out tomorrow or the day after at latest and it features the porn. Sorry for the wait. ;)
