the female ghost of tom joad
Alright, I'm claiming two of the three fics I wrote for challenges this last month. Both links bring to the comms because I'm lazy like that and I like comments in the same place. ;) Sorry for the spamming, I also have another thing to post and I'll probably have another couple in the next two/three days.

Title: A Touch Of Infinity [Lost/Heroes crossover]
Fandoms: Heroes/Lost
Pairings: Adam/Jacob/Richard, Adam/Richard, Richard/Jacob, Adam/Jacob and all combinations thereof.
Rating: R to stay on the very safe side
Wordcount: 10,100
Spoilers: through all of S5 for Lost (especially 5x16/17), general S2 spoilers for Heroes (well, just really Adam’s backstory)
Summary: Adam is on the Black Rock when it crashes on the island in 1867. Richard is, too.
Warnings: er, is threeway between immortal people a warning? Apart from that, I don’t really think there’s anything triggering.
Disclaimer: Heroes and Lost belong to their respective creators. The title is not too subtly stolen from a short stories collection of Harlan Ellison’s so that’s not mine either.
A/N: written for [info]aurilly at [info]xover_exchange; beta-ed by the awesome [info]siluria and [info]catoasapun who were just the best ever. And, uh, I have to say that I had the time of my life writing this thing. Even if it's sort of seriously not my usual thing. My prompts were immortality and Adam/Jacob, Adam/Richard with an angsty triangle being acceptable. Which I totally couldn't not do.

--

Title: And The Highway Is My Home
Pairing or Characters: Kevin/Sawyer; Kate, Edward Mars and Jacob also appear.
Rating: NC17
Word Count: 5145
Warnings: completely and utterly non-linear narration; spoilers up until The Incident.
Summary: Sawyer nods and swallows, trying to block out the fact that being stuck on the run from the Marshal he killed one time that didn’t happen, with Freckles’ former husband, who’s there because he tried to bail her out and then he bailed Sawyer out, isn’t funny at all. It actually sounds like a bad soap opera, but he won’t go dwelling on that.
A/N: written for [info]toestastegood for Lost Hohoho at [info]lostsquee; my prompts were Sawyer/Kevin on the run plus bonus hand-holding. Much thanks to [info]siluria for the great (and fast) beta-ing and suggestions. <33 and now that I don't have to keep my identity secret and risk giving myself out because I steal titles from songs, I can say that the title is stolen from Merle Haggard. ;)

This = my fic for [info]scifibigbang. [And I'm sort of using it also for another table. *cough*]

Title: Devil's Arcade
Art: totally awesome art by [info]divka
Pairings: Desmond/Sayid (main), Jack/Sawyer, Boone/Charlie (both sort non-explicit but there); most canon (male) characters appear. Sawyer/Kate and Desmond/Penny are sort of referred to, but they're both backstory.
Word Count: 32800
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: The rating is not only for a sex scene, but I went for it mostly because since it's a war fic it gets very violent, there's some gore, a full battle description, probably touchy/triggering subjects and everything that goes with the setting. (Though it's not a death fic.)
Summary: WWII AU; Desmond and Sayid (plus Charlie and Sawyer) are British soldiers at El Alamein. This follows them and others (Jack, plus Boone) in their unit from 1942 until 1945 (and sort of later, too).
A/N: first of all, endless thanks to [info]elliotsmelliot who did an awesome beta-ing job for this in a very short time and whose help was just priceless beyond any possible description. Thank you so much again for it. And to [info]divka who did the awesome art and who had to stand my complete and utter failure-ness with PMs. Also, this is the result of brainstorming over one fic idea for a year and a half. I just hope it did end up being a good effort. ;) Also, title stolen from Springsteen. Yes, I know you were all totally NOT expecting it.

Prologues [England, Iraq]; Part I [El Alamein - first]; Part II [El Alamein - second]; Interlude I [Tunisia]; Part III [Italy - Sicily]; Interlude II [Italy]; Part IV [Italy - Cassino]; Part V [Italy - Rome]; Part VI [Italy - Rome and Reggio Emilia]; Epilogues [Paris and New York]; Notes and references and research post; art by [info]divka

Title: How Castiel Got Lost In LOST (or, how an angel of the Lord faced the Smoke Monster, among the rest)
Rating: PG13
Characters: Castiel, Dean and Sam for SPN; Sayid, Sawyer, Smokey, Jacob and a few guest stars for Lost
Words: 3333 (really.)
Summary: the Trickster sends Castiel on the island. Chaos ensues.
Spoilers: heavy for 5x08 for SPN; set in late S2 for Lost, but there's a character from the S5 finale.
Disclaimer: SPN is not mine and Lost is not mine either. Why, you had any doubts?
A/N: this is crack on a stick. More or less. And I can blame at least three or four people from my FL who totally didn't try to dissuade me from writing this. Anyway, a couple of other shows are mentioned in passing. And... just, alright, I have no excuses except for SPN handing me this on a silver plate and Lost being crazy stuff.

When Castiel realizes that he’s on what looks like a tropical island or a jungle, he blinks. Then when nothing changes, he blinks again. )

Title: As In Jack Slash Sawyer, or Dean Slash Castiel
Rating: PG13 (for swearing mostly, and for my terrible imitation of Chuck's writing)
Pairings: Jack/Sawyer, peripheral Dean/Castiel
Words: 2308
Spoilers: none really for Lost except that this implies that Nirvana!Jack existed (though it's completely AU and implies that Jack and Sawyer shacked up together, just run with your imagination) and up until the S4 finale for SPN (but specific spoilers for 4x18.
Summary: Jack and Sawyer have a literary addiction. To the Winchester gospels.
Disclaimer: Lost is most definitely not mine (sadly) and Supernatural definitely is NOT, and it's better in Kripke's hands than mine, also because the CW wouldn't ever have anything I could come up with.
A/N: for the most awesome Queen [info]hopelessfangirl at [info]lostsquee who asked for crack, likes Jack/Sawyer and said that crazy crossovers were allowed. Er. This wasn't going to leave my head so I went for it. I know that Dean/Cas isn't your main pairing but it was more suited for what I wanted to go for here so I hope you like it anyway. ♥ ;) And as per your request (half), Claire gets mentioned (but she's important) and... well, this is pure and utter crack. Oh dear, what did I do, what did I do. Title stolen from SPN 4x18, more or less.

Point is, Sawyer should feel fucking ashamed of enjoying this crap. )

Closest Thing To A Friend - Jack/Sawyer fanmix for [info]invisiblelove
Title: Closest Thing To A Friend
Fandom: Lost
Pairing: Jack/Sawyer
Type: Fanmix
Notes: Late (sorry!) gift for the most lovely Queen [info]invisiblelove at [info]lostsquee who wished for Jack/Sawyer. Sadly my fluff muse wasn't cooperating at all yesterday and I couldn't come up with anything original, but I hope this is a good alternative! ♥ PS: the last song is because I can. ;) ;)

Okay, I'm caught up with luau gifting (not reading, sadly), so I swear this is the last post of the kind you get for today. Sorry for spamming. Bless my day for being early..

Title: The Best Laid Schemes Of Mice And Men Often Go Awry
Rating: PG13 to be sure?
Characters: Sawyer, implied Sawyer/Juliet for the canon I needed
Words: 500 (or, me trying to do the multiple drabbles thing)
Spoilers: er, heavy for the S5 finale. And sort of for Of Mice And Men.
Summary: There's the thing with Jim LaFleur: Sawyer knows that it's just a fake name for his x-hundredth fake identity. The difference is that all of Sawyer's previous identities' purpose was destroying someone else's white picket fence, while this one could be the key for his own metaphorical one.
Disclaimer: Lost isn't mine and if Of Mice And Men was mine I'd be John Steinbeck and I'd have won a Nobel prize for literature. And for how much I wish it was the case, it isn't. ;)
A/N: (last late) fic for the gracious Queen [info]elise_509 at [info]lostsquee who wished for reasons to remind her of some Sawyer love. Er. This ended up being a mix between me explaining (sort of) S5 Sawyer (because I kinda didn't get him either) and between me loving way too much the bare fact that he likes Steinbeck. I just hope it makes some sense and that you like it! ♥ Also because I kinda haven't written from his POV in.. er, ages. Title stolen from the poem from which Steinbeck stole his title.

That little place you always wanted, George? )

Title: Are We Going To The Same Place? If So, Can I Come?
Rating: PG
Characters: Jack, Sawyer
Words: 1463
Spoilers:for the S5 finale. (Also in the summary, so I wouldn't read that if you didn't see said episode.)
Summary: Jack takes another sip and he's unable to take his eyes off Sawyer. Or James. Or Jim. Fuck knows how should he call him, especially since standing to reason Jack has never met a Jim LaFleur. Even if he remembers meeting him thirthy-something years ago.
Disclaimer: nothing here is mine if you were wondering.
A/N: (late) fic for Queen [info]siluria at [info]lostsquee who requested bad weather. Er, well, I have no excuse for this except that I always wanted to write Nirvana!fan!Jack goes to Seattle. Title stolen from a Pearl Jam song since we're talking grunge. I think I did my research right, but since I dunno if some stuff here would require trips to Wikipedia, Sub-Pop = Nirvana's first record label, Crocodile Cafe = venue where I think everyone who can be labeled as grunge has played sometime between late eighties and mid nineties. Er, okay, I think I'm done blathering.

“Sub-Pop. You. What, you became a Nirvana fanboy?” )

fic, Lost: I Never Kissed A Man (Kevin/Sawyer), PG13, for [info]gottalovev
Title: I Never Kissed A Man
Rating: PG13
Characters/Pairing: Kevin/Sawyer
Words: 1786
Summary: four times Kevin and Sawyer somehow meet, and one when they definitely go further than that.
Spoilers: er, vary vague for the season finale, but definitely spoilers.
Disclaimer: nope, Lost isn't mine. NEWS!
A/N: for the lovely Queen [info]gottalovev at [info]lostsquee who asked for first times. Er. Well. This has at least three first times in it. And it features my Oceanic Six Talk Shows of doom. And it's the first time I try the pairing so er, whatever, I really hope you like it! ♥ using for [info]au_abc, detectives.

When Kevin Callis meets James Sawyer Ford for the first time, it lasts barely more than a minute. )

Er. Right. This thing took, like, three months or so and I managed to finish it just because the fix-it challenge made me re-write a good part of it and gave me an idea to actually make it work and well, here it goes.

Title: I Lost It (or four people who lost Boone Carlyle's heart and one who didn't)
Rating: R or something along those lines. There's sex, duh.
Pairings/Characters: Jack/Boone, Boone/Shannon, Boone/Charlie and Sawyer/Boone; Boone, Shannon, Charlie, Sawyer, Locke, Jack.
Words: 6474
Summary: It starts when Boone gets sick of lying and pretending he felt relieved when he never really did; two weeks after his hallucination, he goes to Jack and spills everything, from how they found the hatch to how he and Locke spend their days instead of hunting.
Spoilers: set in S1, none really if you know what the hatch is.
Disclaimer: Ha, not mine. This would have happened.
A/N: So, this is for the [info]lostsquee fix-it challenge because it actually attempts to fix everything I can fix about Boone's story starting with him hooking up with someone who actually would give a damn and telling about the hatch because it'd have been way less problematic if he had. But, this is also for [info]emiliglia who had prompted me with romantic Jack/Boone on island for her birthday *headdesk*. Sorry for making you wait three months. Title stolen from an infamous Lucinda Williams song. And using for [info]un_love_you #30, I trust you (writer's choice), which translates in me finishing that table. Also, the prompt said romantic and well, uhm, I tried. Kinda.

Then one day Jack finds him somewhere and says he needs help cataloging the meds. Could he give a hand? Boone says yes and that’s when it starts. )

fic, Lost: Inside A Break (Jack/Sawyer), light R, for [info]invisiblelove
Title: Inside A Break
Rating: R
Pairing: Jack/Sawyer
Words: 1153
Summary: He can’t even breathe and Sawyer’s grip is so hard that it hurts, it really fucking hurts, but he just holds back and doesn’t blink when Sawyer whispers I hate you in his ear.
Spoilers: for the S5 finale. Heavy. I mean it.
Disclaimer: seriously, do I look like Darlton?
A/N: for [info]invisiblelove who wanted zipper for the alphabet meme. This probably isn't what she had imagined, but I swear I'll make it up with the other two. ;) Title stolen very randomly from John Frusciante but I really couldn't come up with one.

Jack opens his eyes as he lies against the ground; there’s earth under his back and jungle in front of him. )

Title: Pretty Sights
Rating: R
Pairing: Shannon/Juliet
Words: 1927
Summary: “I’m glad I died in my own clothes. That jumpsuit? The more time I look at it the more I’d just want to take it off.”
Spoilers: until 5x15. The rest is speculation for the finale, but I'm sure it's not going to happen. But it was convenient.
Disclaimer: haaa, no, not mine.
A/N: for [info]lenina20 who wanted ghost for the alphabet meme; using for [info]au_abc, killed. Obviously, character death implied, but I swear it's as light as it goes. Sorry, but dead person/alive person was becoming too easy. ;)

Now, I think you’d be a very pretty sight yourself, but with that thing? Jesus. I hope that you took it off with Sawyer. )

Title: Dreams
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Jack/Charlie/Sawyer
Words: 1197
Summary: The only reason Charlie isn't freaking out is that this has to be a dream.
Spoilers: as long as you know that Charlie used drugs, you're safe.
Disclaimer: haaa, no, not mine.
A/N: this originally was for [info]lostsquee's fic battle ages ago for the prompt tentacle sex. But it's all [info]toestastegood's fault. ;) *coughcough* using for [info]au_abc, mutants. And yeah, you read tentacle sex and yes, it's what it is.

Title: Not What It Seems
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Sawyer/Boone
Words: 677
Summary: Contrary to appearances, Boone Carlyle does not fuck like a girl. Hell, no.
Spoilers: none if you have seen S1.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and I'm sure you didn't expect it.
A/N: written ages ago for the [info]lostsquee fic battle, for the prompt like fucking a girl; using for [info]un_love_you #26, I can be like you.

Boone never says anything and Sawyer, who never was one for words, doesn't talk. )

Title: Such A Tease
Rating: NC17
Pairing: Boone/Charlie
Words: 1005
Summary: While he can get someone being annoyed, Charlie is being a pain instead of cooperating here and no, the fact that it's Charlie's back being pushed on the blanket full of holes doesn't mean that he's going to justify him much longer just because of that.
Spoilers: none if you have seen S1.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and I'm sure you didn't expect it.
A/N: written ages ago for the [info]lostsquee fic battle, for the prompt S1 sex with snark; using for [info]un_love_you #24, I want you to hate me.

“That was sodding good. Hate to admit it, and you talk way too much and tease way too much, but sure as bloody hell you know what you're doing. )

Title: Annunciation
Rating: PG
Characters: Ben, dead!Boone
Words: 728
Summary: Ben figures this guy is just your usual arts student whom you always meet in the Tate gallery and turns his attention back on the painting, feeling his cell phone in his pocket. The call should arrive any second.
Spoilers: mostly for S4 including the finale. I wrote it before S5 aired so take it as an AU even if it's technically set in S5.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and I'm sure you didn't expect it.

Word counting: 5883 this part, 50000 ca overall.
Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and all the folk songs used here are not mine. The places really exist and I've never been there.
Summary: Sawyer is a rambling musician during the Dust Bowl, Jack a former doctor from L.A. traveling with him.
Thanks to: [info]elliotsmelliot for the great beta job for which I can't be grateful enough and to [info]fosfomifira for the title. I'd still be searching for one otherwise.
A/N: the songs referenced are I Ain't Got No Home as usual and This Land Is Your Land by Woody Guthrie in its original, uncensored version. ;) Then... ah, I can't believe this took six months to get done but well, it's here, it's done, I'm insanely proud of it and I just hope the end lives up to everything. Thanks so much again to [info]elliotsmelliot whose help was truly priceless and to everyone who stuck with it until now. ♥ And... wow. It's done. Now I'll go have a toast to Woody Guthrie. ;)

Word counting: 6804 this part, 50000 ca overall.
A/N: The song referenced in the beginning and the end is My Oklahoma Home, a traditional from the time which I only have by Springsteen and maaaybe Pete Seeger but I'm sure there are older version. The girl with whom Jack dances is the one from The Hunting Party which here is Gabriella instead of Gabriela because Gabriela in Italy does not exist. It's with two ls, dammit. The other two songs are Old Dan Tucker and Chicken Reel, which you can find done by a bunch of people and which are actually the same tunes in the dancing scene of The Grapes of Wrath, but I chose that stuff not consciously. Then I found out and had a laugh. And that'd be it. Next chapter (and last) should be out tomorrow or the day after at latest and it features the porn. Sorry for the wait. ;)

Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, Part VI, Part VII, Part VIII, Part IX, Part X, Part XI, Part XII, Part XIV

Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, Part VI, Part VII, Part VIII, Part IX, Part X, Part XI, Part XIII, Part XIV

See, Jack won’t ever, ever tell Sawyer or anyone because he just doesn’t talk about his old man to anyone as a rule, but before they found him dead in some alley in Salinas some fifteen years ago with a suspiciously empty bottle of whisky by his body, he had a thing for gambling that was second just to the thing he had for drinking. )

Disclaimer: Lost is not mine and all the folk songs used here are not mine. The places really exist and I've never been there.

A/N: Sawyer's quote about folk music being basically stealing was half stolen from a Pete Seeger interview but I figured he'd know best. The song of the title of the chapter and the one referenced at the beginning is Philadelphia Lawyer by Woody Guthrie. Also, I didn't come up with the way to cheat at roulette Jack uses here, it's all on Wikipedia.

A/N: okay, sorry if this gets long. First: you remember that poll re Jack's singing/dancing abilities? This is half of the reason. Then: the songs referenced here are all traditionals except for Love in Vain by Robert Johnson (there's also a version by the Rolling Stones) and then this song by Woody Guthrie called The Company Doctor whose lyrics you can find all over the place but which I don't have and couldn't find, so I guess they are just around and that if it ever was some actual song he never recorded it, but it was so perfect that I had it in anyway. And that'd be all.

Title: I've Been Everywhere 7/14 and 8/14
Rating: PG-13 for both of these parts, will reach NC17 overall
Characters/Pairings for this part: part seven: Jack, Sawyer, Frank. Part eight: Jack, Sawyer, Penny.
Word counting: part seven, 2373 words; part eight, 2710 words.

A/N: the songs in here are How Can A Poor Man Stand Such Times And Live by Blind Alfred Reed and Shenandoah, traditional which I found by Pete Seeger and Springsteen but which I guess could be found by someone else, too. The election they talk about in part seven is the 1936 one.

Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, Part VI, Part IX, Part X, Part XI, Part XII, Part XIII, Part XIV

Disclaimer: not mine, it'd have happened.
Summary: The first surprise is finding out that the doc and Craphole Island’s prettiest resident are screwing.
A/N: written for the prompt surprises all around, using for [info]lostpicksix #8, threesome.

Eleventh surprise: they don’t leave. )

Title: I Give You My All
Rating: hard R
Pairing: Jack/Boone
Word counting: 1221
Disclaimer: not mine, it'd have happened and we would have seen it.
Summary: He had been too worried trying not to say anything stupid when Charlie had started playing somewhere over there and suddenly there was music; he and Jack had shared the last small bottle left and then before he knew it one of them had decided they should go and dance.
A/N: written for the prompt slow dancing on the beach, using for [info]lostpicksix #24, dancing.

It’s bad enough that he can’t even remember if it was him suggesting it or if it was Jack; but considering that Jack had had considerably more to drink than Boone and he was trying not to do anything too stupid himself, he figures it probably had been Jack. )

Title: The Everlasting Yes And No
Rating: Pg13
Pairing: Jack/Boone
Word counting: 446
Disclaimer: not mine, we all know it.
Summary: It's ironic, how you always answered no when he asked you a question about... well, about whatever it was between the both of you and how he always answered no when you were the one asking.
A/N: written for the prompt no.

Sometimes he'd look pensive, sometimes he wouldn't come to the caves because he was out all day with Locke and he said he was dead tired; you never asked what they were doing out there. Your mistake. )

Title: What Works Best
Rating: Pg13
Pairing: Jack/Boone
Word counting: 747
Disclaimer: not mine, it'd have happened.
Summary: Any other time he might have burst out laughing because seriously, a pen can't work better than another, especially when you don't need one.
A/N: written for the prompt there's more to life than finding pens.

Jack feels bad. Really, he feels bad. )

Title: Someone Wants To See You
Rating: Pg13
Characters: Jack; Ana Lucia, Shannon, Charlie, Christian, Boone (some very faint-platonic Jack/Boone going on)
Word counting: 1301
Disclaimer: if it happens in canon I'll scream. Mostly because we'd probably see only the first part of it.
Summary: When he will open his eyes again, he will be on the island still, but it'll be... different. It'll be the same but the sun will be shining up in the sky, the sound of the waves will be soothing, the jungle won't look much dangerous anymore.
A/N: written for the prompt five people you'll meet in heaven. Warning: character death, but well, it was the prompt.

He won't die tomorrow, but he doesn't have much time in front of him, either. )
