just two quick things (aka PROMOTING plus I need betas!)
Haaai you wonderful people. This will be a very quick post mostly about fic. Everyone's excited, y/y?

Anyway. First things first.

GO PLAY THERE NOW. ;) There's been some awesome fills and there's a lot awesome prompts to be filled and I've been slowly wasting my life in there writing Jack/Castiel instead of doing productive stuff. What news.

Sooo, other thing: on the 9th/10th I won't be much around because I'm in Florence with my mother to see opera. Then I realized that the crossover exchange fic deadline is on the 12th and I still haven't finished it. And since it needs to be betaed and I hoped to finish it today..

Yep, I need a beta. Anyone is up for betaing a SPN/Watchmen crossover fic which will be gen and most probably between 5000 and 10000 words? I hope to keep it more along 7000, but I have no idea of how much the end will drain out of me. Has spoilers for S5 of SPN and the entiretey of Watchmen and as far as characters go it has Dean, Sam and Cas for SPN and Daniel and Manhattan for Watchmen. In case I'd hope to send it over either tonight or tomorrow morning. And I'd need it before the 12th. Any takers? I'd mostly need the plot checked and to know if it makes any kind of sense.

Aaand, since I'm there, other beta request. Anyone is up for betaing me 11000 words of Jimmy Novak centered dystopia fic? Or, what I spent the last week writing even if I had more pressing matters to attend to. Anyway, warnings: it's depressing, it's gen unless you count Jimmy/Amelia in the past as not gen, there's a pretty major character death (not Jimmy though) and it's based on Oryx And Crake even if there's not as much genetics meddling (especially with animals, I have no fantasy) as in the original. Apart from the usual grammar I'd probably mostly need to know if a) it has sense, b) if the plot other than having sense works and c) if everyone is in character. Everyone. It's not that great bunch of characters, but whatever. XD Any takers for this one? I don't have a deadline so no hurry. XD

Also, Christmas cards post is here and open for business! ;)

Okay, that's all. Brb writing the crossover exchange fic.

Le nozze di Figaro! :D just that one though, I'm coming back on the next day. ;)

And haha, lol, idk but I liked one of the prompts. I don't have an idea if I'm doing it right but hey, I am. ;) Also I had kinda been wanting to do that for a lot of time so hey, why not. XD And haha, seriously? God, let's hope I get it right then. ;)

MY FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god, so jealous. Literally, it is my number one favorite opera (Die Fledermaus is a second). I've seen it four times at the Met, but never anywhere else. Seriously, I had the entire thing memorized by the age of 9, and a few years ago, we had this Italian guy we were hanging out with who spoke really terrible English (long story), and I pretty much communicated for the group because between French and The Marriage of Figaro score that has the translations, I sort of knew what he was saying. :)

My favorite is Don Giovanni (which I had memorized by age nine instead) but EVERYTHING MOZART IS MY FAVORITE. ;)

and omg you've been four times to the met? Let me envy you a bit. XD (sorry, I have a fixation. I'll set place in the Met one day. It's on my bucket list really.) and omg that sounds so cool about the Italian guy! Communicating through opera sounds like the most amazing thing ever. :DDDDD

My best friend's little cousin was the lead Little Boy Angel in The Magic Flute for like 5 years (plus Lead Little Boy in other things). So I got lots of tickets. And, my campus job in college was in the Music Department. Every month the department had leftover opera tickets that the Met gave them, and since I was the secretary's pet, she always gave them to me. Whee!

And see, La Scala is on MY bucket list. :) Also, La Fenice, because my real name is Felice and I think that would be funny (my mom did not know that it was a boy's name, lol... so when I was little we'd go to museums and I'd be like, "Mommy! It's so cool how were so many girl painters in the Renaissance.") And when my boyfriend initially told the same Italian guy that he was going to introduce him to "my girlfriend, Felice", the guy was like, "...?"

OMG ENVIOUUUUS. (Also lol oh god The Magic Flute so was my favorite when I was like seven. I used to want to be an opera singer actually, but ha. Voice = too bad.) And ha, lol, La Scala is actually on mine too because while I landed a number of theaters I never landed THAT one, but that could happen next year. Sooo, I'll cross my fingers.

And lol yeah in Italian that's a boy's name, but tbh I kinda like it more for a woman than for a man. ;) And lol I can imagine the poor guy being like WHUT? Though here it's the only place where Andrea is a man's name, so there's always room for confusion I guess. xD
