what a filthy job. - could be worse. - how? - it could be raining.
1. So today I was running from office to office at university just to get to the office I needed after it closed. Five minutes before. Among all that, I sprained my ankle. :/// the quote I used in the title: I feel in the same situation exactly. Dear karma, after the last two weeks I hope the good comeuppance is immense.

2. That said, memes galore!

First, the color one everyone is doing:

you are paleturquoise

Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well.

Your saturation level is low - You stay out of stressful situations and advise others to do the same. You may not be the go-to person when something really needs done, but you know never to blow things out of proportion.

Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.
the spacefem.com html color quiz

This is strangely and creepily accurate. Especially about the not blowing things out of proportion. Even if my real favorite color would be at the opposite end of the specter..

3. Theeen, meme from ozmissage and angeldylan628!

Reply with "Fuck yes fierce ladies (and awesome dudes, too)" and I'll give you four fandoms. Write about your favorite character from each fandom.

They gave me respectively: ASOIAF, vampire porn, SPN and Chuck, and GOT (which I consider ASOIAF since thanks to chickenpox meds I still haven't seen the show - this is getting ridiculous and I'm starting sometime in the next couple days, dammit), SPN, vampire porn and Lost. Since I was given the same fandoms in three out of four cases (SPN, Vampire Diaries and ASOIAF), for those three I gave you my two favorite characters instead of just one. ;) Re ASOIAF: the white gaps mid sentences are all spoilers, most of them mild enough, but I figured that instead of beating around the bush I'd just white them out and specify the book so whoever read it can highlight and whoever hasn't can just skip forward.

Boone Carlyle:... everyone didn't suspect this, did they. Anyway. He was my favorite because he was genuinely a good person who had just a bunch of Freudian problems regarding his sister and who didn't deserve a) dying first, b) everyone starting to miss him just after he died. I think he knew perfectly that he wasn't leadership material, but that never stopped him from helping around or being active instead of painting his toenails. Guy just wanted someone to tell him thanks for helping, was that so much? I fell for him at the pens. I mean, anyone else would have told Jack to fuck off and stop being rude, and HE ACTUALLY SEARCHED FOR SAID PENS. Also it took guts to tell Jack to let him die when he saw there was no chance. Also: HE DIDN'T LIKE GUNS AND WENT TO MARCHES. Find someone in mainstream TV who hates guns and goes to marches and then introduce us. (And to whoever thinks he was there to be Locke's idiotic sidekick who never even understood what he was dealing with: re-watch Deus Ex Machina.)

Wait, he also died because he thought he was saving everyone by making contact with that radio when he knew that 90% of the people in there wouldn't have bet on him to do something useful even if trying. If I think about how selfless he was I just want to write another thirty pages of meta about him even if I spent four years writing meta about Boone Carlyle. Also: when dead, he was the hottest thing on this planet. And seeing him for those ten seconds in the finale making Shannon and Sayid hook up was the best thing they could give me because for those ten seconds he was everything he could have been had he lived. He isn't my second-favorite fictional character ever for nothing. ;)

Bryce Larkin [spoilers through the S2 finale]: all right, I'll admit it, I was first drawn because Matt Bomer is hot. But the point with Bryce is that he's... well, kind of tragic for Chuck standards. If you think about it, he basically spent his life trying to do something right and being thoroughly and utterly misunderstood until the end. Chuck hates him because Bryce is the reason he got thrown out while Bryce was actually only working for Chuck's own good (and knowing he was losing his best friend in between), whenever he appeared in the show you were tempted to curse because he was in between Chuck and Sarah if you were rooting for it to happen but he was there to help them, and then in the S2 finale he ended up where he ended because he was helping Chuck all over again. And he didn't get as many thanks until that point. I loved Bryce. I was very intrigued. I'd have loved to find out more about him. And his friendship with Chuck was some of the best stuff in the show. I miss him. :( Also hey, without him this show wouldn't have existed in the first place since he was the one a) sending Chuck the intersect, b) saving his ass by throwing him out of Stanford/having the great idea to die for good..

1) Ash: or, my first real SPN crush. I liked SPN S1 a lot (and my favorite was John, btw), and when he died in the first S2 ep I was pretty devastated. Then Ash happened (and it's not a chance that S2 is my second-favorite after S4) and he jumped out of that table and I thought 'oh dear this man is AWESOME' and he'll always be my favorite. He slept naked. He was a total genius. HE DRESSED LIKE A 70S ROADIE. He USED ENOCHIAN TO HACK HEAVEN. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? He had some of the best lines ever uttered. There's nothing about Ash that isn't made of utter and complete amazing, and by the way Chad Lindberg is the nicest person ever. Along with Misha. ;)

2) Castiel: my love for Cas is endless. He's everything I find indecently interesting in a character. He didn't steal my heart from the first second but he did in 4x16 when he didn't know what to do. I love his doubts, his indecent martyr streak, the lengths he'd go for people he cares about (AT THE POINT OF LOSING HIMSELF I DARE SAY), his damned trenchcoat and the way he stares at Dean and his not getting references while being a total badass and that he ended up the way he was in 2014 because he wouldn't leave Dean's side and his doubts and his face and his lack of proper sense of humor. How he goes against his very nature because he things he found something better (;___;). And that his self-destructive streak gets to creepy places and I also love that as human as he gets, he still stayed inhuman enough to be questionable and to make me feel somewhat uncomfortable (IE: the whole Jimmy issue and the S6 finale. Look where he ended up). Doesn't really change the matter - I'm on team Cas forever however it goes. I love him to pieces also because he's not perfect by any means.

vampire pornography:

1) Damon Salvatore: I started watching this show because of him, he was the reason I got through those first horrible seven episodes and because while he does things that I don't agree with, I still love his face. I like his snark, I like that he's a charming bastard but that he's mostly honest with himself (I dare say a lot more than his brother). And the one thing I really, REALLY want from that show right now is some flashback episode showing how he went from the person he was when he left Stefan with Lexi to the person he was at the beginning. I'm also quite fascinated with his selected amorality (IE he doesn't have a problem compelling Andie around but when it comes to people he gives a shit about he'd never do something like that). And even if the rest of the show was still crap I'd keep on watching because he amuses me to no end.

2) Alaric Saltzman: so this guy shows up and I'm like 'oh, someone else nice to look at other than Damon.' Then he proceeds on killing vampires left and right, fooling Damon into thinking he compelled him and doing awesome things after awesome things, and I was sold. I wasn't expecting him and Damon to end up in that ridiculously awesome bromance they have going on but it was the reason I actually started giving a shit about what was going on. And then he only just became more glorious. I love everything about his face, about his brains and how he uses them, about his not so healthy drinking habits and about the fact that he's as straightforward as it goes, at least in that show. (And that he forces Damon to be almost straightforward back.) I also like that he's smart enough to let grudges go when he realizes that it isn't worth sticking to them just for the sake of it. He'd totally be my favorite character if not for the Damon factor.

1) Robb Stark: I like hopelessly noble guys, and I like them doomed, other than underappreciated by their own creators because they don't give them POVs. I was intrigued by him since he showed up. I appreciated his struggles to fill his father's shoes when he found himself alone at Winterfell and I appreciated him even more seeing him try to become a proper king/commander when he didn't even WANT it (I like when they're good at it in spite of wanting other things), but I think I fell for him for good when he told Bran they'd go on the wall and then started crying before he could finish the sentence. I like men with feelings, dammit. I also like them smart, and when he outsmarted Tywin at the Whispering Wood I just about died of happiness. But I also liked that he still was a kid and still made mistakes (mostly when I think about him I'm like YOU TOO HONORABLE IDIOT YOU'RE SO YOUR FATHER'S SON WHY COULDN'T YOU BE A LITTLE LESS HONORABLE AND NOT PISS OFF THAT OTHER IDIOT NAMED FREY). also I'm very very interested in his relationships with Jon, Bran and Theon - the latter also in the light of ADWD, but not spoiling about that Also that bit in ASOS where he legitimized Jon was just - I love that there wasn't a moment where Robb hadn't considered Jon his brother. MY HEART. Favorite forever. End of story.

2) Brienne of Tarth: reason why I'm forever and ever on team Brienne: she's the one person in that entire series with whom I actually can identify (other than partly Sam). I realized what was the deal during one of her POVs in AFFC and she remembered being in a number of situations which was similar to a number of situation I've found myself in for more or less the same reason aka body/looks issues and guys not taking you seriously because of said looks issues. I love that she doesn't let anything stop her from pursuing what she wants regardless of the self-esteem blows that kind of thing deals (and that she doesn't give up on swordfighting knowing that she's as good as any man if not better than most). I love the gender/self issues that come with her character and how tragic it is that men don't take her seriously just because she's a woman doing a thing that is usually men's business and because she's ugly - when they'd probably take her seriously enough if she was a proper/beautiful lady (but then it wouldn't be the same character). She might be the too-naive kind but I love the character development she's having right now and for me her POVs were the best thing in AFFC (and tbh I think the naive thing is a question of coping - she needs to think that [ACOK spoiler] it's always summer in songs and ladies are always beautiful somewhere, and it never fails to make me weep). I also need to give props to GRRM because I haven't met many men that get so right how a girl who isn't pretty/is out of the box gets through life. I rarely wanted a character to come out on top as hard as I want her to. I'll be here waiting. [ASOS spoiler](And I've loved Jaime like I loved few other characters when I realized that he was taking her seriously from the second he found out how skilled she was, whether he wanted it or not. If only men were all like that when it comes to what's behind the looks.)

.... why do I write essays about fictional characters? This post is already insanely long. X__X

4. I'll now go either crashing or meditating on a last line that is keeping me from posting a D/C fic that I've had ready for a month but that I can't end in a way that I like. Hopefully I'll post it tomorrow? I should, at some point before S7 starts. Along with a couple other things I managed to finish on the trip back. Hopefully I'll also manage to study some and get back to university to check that other office that was closed today, but the way things are, I'm half-willing to bet that they'll tell me I should have gone somewhere else altogether.

Boone. i will never, ever not love him. he and Jack are my bbs. what you said about him is perfect, he wanted to do the right thing continuously, he was so brave and tried SO hard.

I fell for him at the pens

when he died, i was hysterical. and then when he came back in S6 i must admit, i screamed and started crying. my roommate thought i was a bit crazy.

when he hooked up Shannon and Sayid MY CREYS you are so right, it was like, he was giving them that happiness that he always wanted her to have umg.

CASTIEL. NO WORDS. I HAVE THEM NOT. I JUST. i love him so much.

YES to Robb also. but i can't read what you've written because i believe you might be talking about book canon? and i haven't read them yet!

Fuck yes fierce ladies (and awesome dudes, too) please!

I know re Boone? Most misunderstood character in the history of that show. When people say he was boring I start headdesking hard enough to hurt.

THAT SCENE IS MY FAVORITE. END OF STORY. (also word re Jack. The fact that I've never disliked him should say something. XD)

when he died, i was hysterical. and then when he came back in S6 i must admit, i screamed and started crying.

ME TOO. I'm glad I was alone in the house for both occasions because I was like OMG OMG OMG *TEARS* tho well the fountain that happened when he and Jack hugged in the S6 finale is in history by now. ;) and YES THAT ABOUT SHANNON. MY LOVE FOR THAT MAN IS ENDLESS.

I was talking about book canon, but the only scene I mentioned that isn't hidden/in need of highlighting was in GOT. I have no idea whether they kept it in the show though (I hope so, because if not they cut my favorite Robb GOT scene XD). Anyway. I think I have a type. ;)

Lost, SPN, GOT, Vampire Diaries!

Sobbing. THIS. THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! His smile while he watched them! WHY! DIDN'T! HE! LIVE!?!?! Both of them! Boone and Shannon. I loved them so much. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. And yes. And yes he was so amazing in season 6 oh my god. I don't care what anyone says about season six, that Boone & Locke scene in the plane and then Boone in cahoots with Hurley was just... MY HEART. It was enough. It was beautiful. And Jack going to hug Boone first and.. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. THERE ARE NOT WORDS.

I have yet to start watching Game of Thrones, but I will no doubt love Robb just as much as you do.

I was fine. I was over it. And now I'm all hysterical again. About Boone and Shannon and Sayid and Hurley and AAAAAAAAH.

I KNOW. IT'D HAVE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER IF THEY HAD STAYED. IT'D HAVE HAD SO MUCH MORE SNARK IF ANYTHING. Whatever. Boone was awesome. AND YES THE S6 SCENES WERE WORTH THE ENTIRE SEASON. HIM BEING IN CAHOOTS WITH HURLEY, MY HEART. <333333333333333333 and lolol Jack hugging Boone first was pretty much the best thing I've ever seen after the pens scene. You don't even want to know how much I cried when it happened, I could barely see the screen.

DO IT! (lol I have to watch it too actually, I've only read the books, but SOON.) Robb is awesomecakes. <3333333333

3. Chuck, SPN, Vampire Diaries, Game of Thrones :D

Also BRYCE WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO. He made everything shinier!

I think that if he didn't tear your heart to pieces his name wouldn't be Castiel. It's.. like, in his DNA. If he didn't break out hearts it wouldn't be him. But damn he could get something nice. :(((

YEAH. THAT ABOUT DAMON AND ALARIC. <333 (lol, what about a spin-off where Damon/Alaric/Elijah have a detective agency? XDDD)

It's better now but it's still not cooperating as much as I'd like. :( meh, this month my karma was wired wrong.

Aww thanks <333 I did notice that I have a trend of liking people that are considered boring half of the time and that... aren't really special snowflakes, and I don't get why they get overlooked mostly because they're decent/as genuinely good as it gets and that's apparently not exciting. For me it's the most exciting part about them actually, so I'll just stick with my trend.
