and I'm back!
Phew. Here I am, finally!

So, nothing new on the family western front. Children still should be forbidden singing but however, it went exactly as planned aka three days of doing nothing except reading and watching random TV shows. So, highlights of the weekend:

- Getting my Adrian Pasdar fix. It's awesome how they are always airing the same Judging Amy episodes every time I go there. I don't complain though. He was hot, duh.
- Okay, I've only seen the trailer because it's really not my kind of show but I can safely say that the captain of the freighter was also on McLeod's Daughters. I don't even know what it is, but he was on the trailer.
- I got to see an episode of Torchwood and even if I didn't understand half of it it actually was nice.
- Uhm, I think seeing a couple of episodes makes me miss Ally McBeal.
- Then, I watched lots of random movies. I saw The Apartment again which was delightful; I watched Dogma with my grandfather in the same room and well, I was thankful I had it in English so he didn't understand it but on the flip side, I think I missed half of the fun; I watched For a Fistful of Dollars for the tenth time and totally by chance I ran into a movie called Unconditional Love which, I think, is the crackiest crack movie ever made in the history of cinema. Seriously. Never seen a more deliberately crack thing.
- I read Slaughterhouse Five and I absolutely loved it. Probably goes straight into the ten books I'd recommend reading.
- I actually managed to find the issue of a comic I had there which was my first meeting with the wonderful crack haggis can make;
- I realized that if someone says the words whiskey and Scotland in the same sentence (in this case it was a quiz on tv) I end up laughing like some kind of maniac;
- I found out that they're airing Lost on the cable again from April but I really don't care;
- I think it's everything.

And now I guess I'll spend an hour or so catching up, hoping I don't miss anything... it's good to be back though!

Welcome back! I love Slaughterhouse 5 too (
(Poo-tee-weet!!). I'd recommend Cat's Cradle if you like Vonneguts dark satirical style and mindbending ideas. He is a fantastic writer.

I definitely shall see if my beloved dad has it in his library, too! Because he had Slaughterhouse ;) and I really like the man's style. Now I want to know why I didn't read him before.

Thank you! LOl he wins. And he's totally hot in that show. He looks like S1 Nathan with the S2 hair and attitude. I just wish I could find any caps of it. Or some clip or whatever.

Oh, I had an idea it was but I don't have an idea of what's it about.. I'll have a look at it now though, just to know ;) ♥

Welcome back! You survived another holiday full of singing children. This time my nephews did not sing and were generally well behaved. It's funny you mentioned The Apartment. It was referenced in the episode of Mad Men that we just watched tonight. Both my husband and I saw the movie when we were kids and so did not get it then. I think it will be the next movie we rent.

I hope you have plans to fill the hiatus with fic and icons! It felt strange to go through the weekend without anything popping up from you!

I sure did and then I rewarded myself with the catching up. And go for renting that movie! It's downright lovely. Not like you can go wrong with Wilder but it really is such a good film.

Oh, I'm definitely planning on filling the hiatus with both! I guess I'll make up for my weekend absence very soon ;)

Glad you enjoyed Easter (despite the bad singing)! An Adrian Pasdar fix... mmm... Slaughterhouse-5 doesn't sound exactly cheery, but I imagine the Ally McBeal helped. The first couple seasons of that show were terrific.

The Adrian Pasdar fix is a gift. I mean, Heroes isn't on but one knows that as soon as you get a cable under your hands he's there two times per day. Wonderful stuff to know ;)

And Ally definitely was terrific. It was one of the first shows I got into and I definitely miss it. And there was one dead person in six seasons. Learn, Lost, learn.

Re: Sounds fun
Yeah I am Italian, indeed! And it's good to find someone who likes it here! I'll admit I'm not into 30stm as I was once but it's probably because they really became too famous; still love them though. And I think we share pretty much a lot of tastes because I'm a total Eddie girl, too and hobbits? ♥. I sadly don't have AIM because it crashes with my PC or something, but I am on skype when I am on some messenger ;) see you there!
