Vantage Point + other stuff
So I've finally seen it. Like, downloaded because it was off cinemas here in two weeks, but whatever.

1. So, that was one of the most hilarious movies ever. No, really. At the beginning it looked kinda okay, then from the President's POV it became too sci-fi-political and I lost the plot, then I spent the last twenty minutes laughing like a maniac.

2. Because I mean, the terrorists put up all that act to kill the president of the USA, they have three or four bombs exploding, thousands of car crashes, a bunch of people killed off and then in the end it all fails because the van dodges to avoid the little girl?

3. And then we find out completely out of the blue that Foxy is the bad guy when he had said, like, three lines?

4. About that, duh. Never seen a character with such idiotic lines. I mean, it's time, cover up etc.?

5. Frankly, the plot couldn't stand on its feet. And the whole vantage point thing was lost after like, half of the movie? :/

6. Then... Dennis Quaid gets crushed in the car and goes out with a scratch. The Spanish Dave Grohl double that was in the second flashback gets hit by TWO cars and happily runs. WTF?

7. Forest Withaker was kinda cute and Sigourney Weaver was good, too.

8. Duh, apart from having a total idiotic character and speaking the worst Spanish ever heard, Foxy was HOT. Duh. I mean, suits are definitely his thing. And I'd have him giving me a fine any day. For realz.

9. So, Foxy was WAY hot. I don't think that there really was much else to say. Though at least Foxy's agent was smart enough to get him into a big movie.

10. At least it was better than Pulse and Whisper. Not that it took much effort.

11. Oh, and the black bodyguard was the court assistant from Judging Amy! When I realized that I definitely passed on the laughing hysterically side. Not that he was bad, I mean, it was a non-existant character, but I always pictured him as a devout and nice assistant and it just was hysterical.

11. Last thing because I have to do the movie geek part... dear Director of Vantage Point, the kind of movie you made was actually made by a guy named Akira Kurosawa first. I don't doubt you've seen Rashomon, but exactly for this, please, please, from now on refrain to do things that have been already made by people who knew the drill much better than you did. Sincerely yours, me.

Uhm, regarding that, Ian Somerhalder has two new movies out. Problem is, I don't know which one looks more stupid. I'll end up seeing both anyway but that's the good thing about the movies he makes. You know they're going to be horrible even before you read the plot. Well, at least in one he's first billed. Small consolations. I mean, what's worse between a tournament of serial killers who killed off each other and the girl who gets engaged with a guy who looks like he murdered his latest girlfriend? I mean, he inflicted Tell Me You Love Me upon me. Isn't that enough? *sighs* can they have back on Lost as the resident crack ghost? Or the resident zombie? Or whatever?

And now that I've kinda ranted, I guess I'll go and try to finish No Country For Old Men since I kinda feel bad for having interrupted it/picked it back two times. But before I go and to make this entry with some kind of point, thanks to whoever nominated those three fics of mine at lost_fic_awards. It totally made my week and I always feel damn honored! ♥

Hello again! Congratulations on the nominations. You wrote up a storm in this last month or so.

Oh, Foxy and Ian and their bad movies. Let's add Naveen to the list. I saw Death Proof on the weekend and it was pretty awful. At least he has the best film resume of all the Lost cast.

Thank you! Well, inspiration seemingly struck ;)

Meh, Death Proof really has to be of the worst Rodriguez kind. I haven't heard a decent review on it. I've got it with Grindhouse there but I can't bring myself to watch it. I've also got The Brave One on the list but I think it could be easily the best of the bunch. I mean, it's Neil Jordan, can't be that bad.

At least he has the best film resume of all the Lost cast.

Yeah, at least that's good. Seriously, their agents may have landed them on the show, but could really choose better movies. *sighs*

That's what I'll have to do with VP, download it. Because I haven't see it yet (shame on me!) and it's not in the cinemas anymore here, either :( I can't believe I missed it.

Oh, and I forgot to congrat you for your fics being nominated. You deserve it!

There's a friend of mine who uploaded it, would you like the links? I got it from there ;)

And well, if I have to be strikingly honest, it isn't worth the seven euros we spend here to go to the cinema. I mean, Foxy is WAY hot but considering also the part they gave him you really don't miss much if you download it.

[answering on the nomination comment] Thank you! ♥

lol at you review!
I liked VP. A lot of my friends didnt and I can get why they felt that way.
When I saw it, I was thinking Foxy would have a lot of lines and all, and I was kind of annoyed by the end, because, yeah, he barely opens his mouth.
But hey, he was SMOKING HOT, so, whatever....

Well technically it was pretty okay but I just couldn't see the point of it. But well, Foxy hotness is always good! If at least he got a more consistent character it'd have been better but well... at least if he fines me with that policeman outfit I won't protest ;)
