Since you're gone my empty arms have nothing left to hold

and your memory cannot keep me warm but it never leaves me cold

the female ghost of tom joad

Hello! I'm Lavinia, 20, from Rome, Italy; university student, major coffee addict and easily obsessed with quite a lot of things, though right now most is of the Lost kind. I love books and reading, rock music (but also classical and jazz), racists of any kind not welcome. This journal is a mostly uneven balance of RL and fannish stuff, which mainly consists in Lost/Supernatural (mostly slash) fanfiction/talking at the moment. It's mostly public. If you’d like to friend me, go right ahead! I'd really appreciate if you dropped me a comment or sent me a PM first. If I don't know you from some community or fandom and you don't do it, I'll most likely not friend you back. Also, the Flying Spaghetti Monster > everything. And I don't like Twilight.Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Doors, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Patti Smith, Warren Zevon, Bob Dylan, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns n' Roses, John Frusciante, U2, Janis Joplin, Jeff Buckley, Johnny Cash, E-Street Band members, Keith Urban (shut up, I love him), Nirvana, Beatles, Tom Waits, Nick Cave. And Mozart (and opera in general).MOVIES: Blade Runner, Casablanca, Last tango in Paris, everything with/by Clint Eastwood and Johnny Depp, Stagecoach, Rashomon, Kill Bill and Tarantino in general, Psycho, Some like it hot, The man who killed Liberty Valance, The grapes of wrath. Yes, I like classics.
TV: my all time favourites are X-Files and Ally McBeal. Currently my main fandoms are Lost and Supernatural, and it's mostly what you'll find here. I gave up on Heroes ages ago. I need to catch up with Friday Night Lights. I also love The Wire and Six Feet Under, but I'm not caught up with the first. Also wait, my favorite show overall is probably Deadwood. And I also love Chuck, Hawaii Five-0 and the Vampire Diaries.
In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was tacitly denied by their philosophy.

Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

;George Orwell, 1984 -> greatest book ever written.

“Well,” Eddie said, “What was behind Door Number One wasn’t so hot, and what was behind Door Number Two was even worse, so now, instead of quitting like sane people, we’re going to go right ahead and check out Door Number Three. The way things have been going, I think it’s likely to be something like Godzilla or Ghidra the Three-Headed Monster, but I’m an optimist. I’m still hoping for the stainless steel cookware.”

; Stephen King, The Drawing Of The Three, or dammit Eddie Dean is the best thing that ever existed.
